Share your horse show names!

91 posts in this topic

This Monday afternoon is quite boring so I figured this interesting little thread would help me pass some time (and prolong my home work procrastination) [big Grin] . So the title is pretty self explanatory, basically share your horses show names - past or present and/or any other show names you like!

I'll start:

Show name : Barn name : brief description

Lost my sock: Ellie : Chestnut mare with three white socks

Lucky exchange: Lucky: Bay TB gelding

Fresh paint: paint : and you guessed it, paint gelding.

Okay i'm Totally having brain fart with the ones I've shown so i will move on to the show names I like:

- Training wheels: for a cute little pony [big Grin]

- Cause for applause

- Cute on Command

-Incognito- thinking about that one for Inca

- La bella Vita- Beautiful day in Italian

-Envy me

-Mr. Incredible

Thats all for now

oh and p.s. disclaimer: If you mention a really cute one I may just have to steal it [Wink]

Tiny Dancer : Cali : Bay with 2 'ankle socks' on her back legs and a superwoman star on her face.

Cali comes from her previous owner who showed her under 'California Dreams' bc she was from California.

Too bad I hate that name, but she responds to Cali. And I like Cali.

[smile]

The old horse I trained's Show Name was Frederick's of Hollywood. Yes. Like the lingerie store. [Razz]

He was HARDLY man enough to pull that off.

Ruby Red Slippers:Aly:Chestnut TB Mare with tiny amount of white hair on face.

Well Aly Sue is her registered name so that's where we got her barn name, Aly. And she is all red so we thought Ruby Red Slippers fit her well

The Understudy:Halory:Bay TB Mare with two white socks

Her registered name is Halory's Secret so that's where we got her barn name. And she stepped in when my mare Ruby Red Slippers went blind so in essence she is the understudy. I loved it as soon as it came out of my trainers mouth lol

We have a pony named Star at my barn. Star likes to buck.

Poor pony. People will think we're coffee addicts. But, the name "North Star" was just getting too old.

When your horse's name is so special that it is the only one recorded with the USEF and you want to keep it that way; you don't give it out as an idea for others. [Wink]
