Here's Tari and Jake, brother and sister (half); Tari (Appy/QH) is 7 and Jake (QH) is 5:

I have 9 at the present time. I would like to get down to five. I don't know if I have any pictures on photobucket, I will see!

My main man is Dancin Dreamin Kid - 14 year old paint

then comes my second riding horse - Sweet Sienna Sioux - 7 year old Appaloosa mare

"Sweetie has a 4 1/2 month old filly named Sweet Dreams Easter"

3rd is a Two Eyed Jack bred paint gelding - Shenandoah - 16 months - He will become a future riding horse for me.

That actually makes four instead of three: My fifth, sixth and seventh would be:

Alphie - 10 year old mini mare

Peanut - 7 year old mini gelding

Willie - 9 year old small donkey

8 and 9 are two resale horses - Sugar 20 month old foxtrotter filly and Sioux Whitefoot 8 year old foxtrotter, mare.

Kid and Shannon last winter

I have 7.

Tima, my 13yo Arabian mare. My main riding horse/show horse.

Lumpy, my 8yo QH - barrel/pole horse.

Bug, 9yo QH - western pleasure and lesson horse.

Gracie, 16yoish mare, rescue, lower level dressage horse.

Jazzy, 10yo mini, pro. PITA.

Cricket, 2yo filly, turned out growing up.

Winnie, 1yo filly, also growing up.

So I really just have 3 personal riding horses if you want to look at it that way.

We've got two right now. We had 3 counting Chief, Ruby's last year foal, but we decided that he needed to go to someone younger and faster than we are. I did give him a good start on the ground handling stuff.

Buddy, Vickie's paint gelding. Not sure what all is in him, but I'm pretty sure that somewhere fairly recent was some kind of a draft horse. Basically a big lazy doofuss, but he's devoted to Vickie so that counts for a lot. That's my daughter Kayla on him.

Ruby, my bay mare. When we bought her, she had been used as a broodmare by a backyard breeder for a few years. She's a pretty decent saddlehorse with a smooth walk. We were told by the guy that we bought her from that she's a TB/QH cross, but that and a dollar might get you a small cup of coffee.

Trying my new saddle on her. She was a bit too pregnant to get the back cinch around her.

Picture that my avatar came out of

l_6d0092642cbf45fbb35786ad9b9aacfd.jpg

They're just a couple of good natured and well behaved horses that we're proud to have and wouldn't part with. We've decided that we can stick with just Ruby and Buddy and really don't have any need for a third horse other than to eat what grass in the pasture that they can't.

Edited for having hit submit instead of preview.....

I currently own three

Rosie- late twenties/early thirties QH mare. Used to show western pleasure and HUS but is now mostly a pasture pony and is taken out every once in awhile when someone who has barely ridden wants to ride or when I feel like playing around in western pleasure again.

This was her after a kid's camp we worked at, they had a grooming contest, we won :tongue9:

n832089201_1814950_8454.jpg

Socks- 13 year old APHA gelding. He used to be shown western pleasure but because of a leg issue we didn't know about when we bought him he was forced to be retired so he now lives the life of luxury as a pasture pet.

18332_322365964201_832089201_4790410_4831267_n.jpg

Stella- 5 year old QH mare. Trail horse/ HUS show horse

I own 2 horses

Just Write Josie (josie) 14 yr old QH pali mare, WP/HUS/Trail Comp Course and Trail riding. She's a very good show horse, usually places well, very sweet and really good trail horse because how quiet and calm she is, she makes trail rides really enjoyable, I can put anyone on her, she's great at taking care of beginners.

100_3203.jpg

100_2462.jpg

Elegent Gem (ellie) 5 yr old Appy/Perch mare, HUS/Trail. She will be in first show next summer, she's been doing great during training, she's does well out on the trail but she wants to look at everything, she's already turning into a reliable riding horse, if something is bothering her, all I have do is take her over to it and let her look at it, once she investigates it, it will no longer bother her, she's such a good girl

Many fine looking horses on this thread, many that I wouldn't mind owning. Had 3 a year ago, currenty down to one quarter gelding, this is Royal age 13, picture was taken last November. One of the better one of us together. He is turning into a good dependable trail horse.

100_1797.jpg?t=1281415801

This one I lost back in January at 28 years old, had her 18 years, there was only one like her, & part my heart went with her. This is Ginger at age 23. PD
