Thank you everyone!
I havent been home too long from camping. I am TIRED. I did manage to hang up on Theo twice on my way home. JK, my cell reception is spotty too and from the farm. I forgot the second time that I was supposed to be past the 2 creeks before I would have reception.
It rained most of the weekend, but we kinda cheated and camped in the barn. Our barn is good sized, so plenty of room for the kids to play and the tents to be pitched.
I went riding today. I even got to ride Koda, my old man. I have completely missed riding him. My daughter had been riding him for the last couple of years. There is nothing like having the horse that you grew up on and he does things for me that he never did for anyone else. He fell right into his arched neck, trot so slow that the others are walking but smooth as glass. I wish I knew what kind of horse he is. Too bad there is no DNA for horses like they have for dogs. It seems like 10 years fell off of him on that short ride. I do wonder if it was because it was me. I got off to walk back and check the pony (little boys first trail ride on his pony, I was just trying to boost his confidence a bit) Koda even wanted to follow me around like he always did. I love that horse. I cant even think about how old he is getting now.
I cooked hamburgers and brats for my birthday dinner. I have showered and I am considering going to bed. I completely forgot to bathe the dogs tonight. I am not now, I am all clean. But they are crashed right now, I couldnt even get the pup to eat hardly any supper. I think he is glad to be home. Even though he slept all weekend. Laziest pup I have ever seen.
