Hey!

I'm a lurker gone member...finally 'sucked me in'...not that that's a bad thing happy0203.gif

It's freakin cold out here....like 'I-already-have-to-wear-4-layers-of-clothing-and-it's-not-even-thanksgiving-let-alone-halloween-yet' cold......

I reside just south of Green Bay Wisconsin..and for the most part like living here....except today smilie.gif

I have just started making jewlery and love it! I also co-run a group called Love Looks Like, which teaches women and teens about healthy relationships.

I have 4 horses and have been riding for 13 years. I also have a mini australian shepherd named Louey who is addicted to ice cubes....gotta love cheap treats!

I also love love love music! I write lyrics, play a little guitar, and volunteer a music coffee house in GB as well.

hmmm.....I think that's it for now!

oh, I also have a pigmy goat named Scooter, she thinks she's a dog duh.gif

Hello and welcome from another former 'lurker'

Sorry, to hear about how cold it is there. I wouldn't be able to stand it, I can barely tolerate our winters and they aren't that bad compared to what you have.

I couldn't stand NY winters, let alone anything further north! But then again, I wouldn't want to live where there's no snow at all. Welcome. And so far, the only time I'm wearing that many layers if if I'm riding my motorcycle. Otherwise I get quite cold.

I give people from the NY are props though, when you guys get snow, you usually get dumped on.

Our winters tend to be very very L-O-N-G......I think that's what makes it worse, and the fact that this summer wasn't even that warm. I don't remember a morning when i didin't start out with a sweatshirt.....

sigh.......

I really like snow though for the most part....i despise driving in it, but I like making snow angels and sledding and ice skating etc...

I dont like snow when it's -20 with a 20mph wind and it's blowing in your eyeballs....it makes the walk to the parn much much longer smilie.gif

SpritesMom- What kind of motorcycle do you have? I always think it looks like so much fun!

I have a Buell Blast. I got it last year. There were some weeks when I was putting almost $300 worth of gas in my truck. I figured the bike would pay for itself, especially since it was only around $4000. I would have had it sooner than I did, but I had to talk my hubby into it. He was afraid to have me out on the roads since all I was used to was a dirt bike.

And I'm curious, what does Jeremiah 31:3 say? (I could go and look it up, but am too lazy to move.)

Ok, I am from New York but on Long Island. We generally don't get the snow that they do upstate. All the water surrounding us keeps us too 'warm' for a lot of snow. When we do get snow it usually doesn't last long, which I'm thankful for I couldn't stand all that snow either. smilie.gif

Welcome from Minnesota...the new land of BRETT FAVRE!! Sorry, couldn't resist giving a potential Packer fan a little cr@p!

I love the snow, wish we got what upstate NY gets, but could someone please take our coldness away? And I watch the Today show every morning and it cracks me up when they talk about how cold it is there and it's like 50 something. I'd kill for that right now (although it's supposed to be almost 60 this weekend).

Welcome from Minnesota and North Dakota! I'm a student in ND and my parents live in MN, so I will claim both states.

You have not seen frozen tundra until you have been to ND in January, let me tell you!
