There's dry, and then there's dry. Wow, this is the latter.

I have been getting a little bit of rain lately (I think I got an inch these past couple days.. but we are still over 10+ under our yearly).. so my cracks have filled in, plus my ground is a lot sandier here than clay-y where most of those cracks happen. But I have lost a good inch or more of topsoil with nothing growing this year and the wind.. any pictures I post you can see all my pasture is literally dirt, no grass, almost no weeds even. it's bad.

Most lake boat ramps are shut down. water holes that survived a lot are dry. Feed prices have gone up around $5 a bag and hay is climbing like no tomorrow.

And here is why I've sacrificed my pony so I can afford to buy hay. Why I've had to feed hay all summer when I SHOULD have had grass growing so fast my front yard gets to looking like a jungle.

:(
I can now be reached via PM. Thanks.

oh my.... I knew they had a drought but they don't show much up here in the north of what it is really like. In fact I don't think they have talked about it in the longest time... :twitch:
