Well I jumped Huey today! It is the first time I have jumped him over 2 or more fences together. They were teeny tiny but I just wanted to make sure he would stay quiet. He was a GEM! I was so so so proud of him.

Note: I know that I do not have perfect form. I jump ahead and tend to ride too far forward ( I am constantly working on this...) I need to keep my shoulders back as well.

I will gladly accept constructive criticism but please don't go crazy on me about those things. I am in a regular lesson program and I know that I have a lot of room for improvement :)

Sorry the video is blurry at the end portion. My camera lady touched the lens... And it is from my phone so it was already not going to be top quality.

You and Houston are looking good! He sees very willing! Don't those mares and babies have a nice green pasture?

Thanks :)

And yep! I do live in the bluegrass state after all. The younger foal will get to go out on grass in the next few days I think. Right now there is just one more mare waiting to drop. I think that at some point they will all go out together but I am not really all that familiar with baby procedure.

He looks so relaxed and willing! AND he's looking so shiny and filled out, he looks awesome.

And the babies are sooo cute! I miss working at the farms in KY, they really are some of the most beautiful places!

I have been calling him Huey a lot lately... :ashamed0002:

And yeah thats because I don't worry about the distances with single jumps as much. We finally got the staying at the right pace between the fences on our last attempt at the x to the white/ green vertical. I also need to work on keeping him straighter....

Lovely to watch. Houston is calm and willing. Your timing is coming together. He takes those jumps in stride - I predict a great future for the two of you. Enjoy.
