Ok my boyfriend just bought his first saddle at an auction. We are un sure of the brand. It looks like its a nice old using saddle which us what he needed. We got it for only 100 bucks we got it home and the numbers on the left say 412 and 16 underneath which since its a 16 inch seat I know what the bottom number is, on the right side you can barely see it says mexico.....I have heard of the "mexican pos" saddles, but I'm thinking that maybe since its an older one it might have been made before the new junk ones.....its black with tooling on the fenders a silver piece on the horn and the silver on the back has two blue turquoise looking gems on each of them.....no d rings the only thing I could find was a sefton brand?

From the look of the rivets at the top of the fender and on the strap linking the rigging rings together, I'm almost ready to call it a Mexican import. I'd like to see clearer photos of those rivets. I've seen some pretty good knockoffs of American saddles coming from Mexico.
