I decided to get myself a companion, since I live alone. I love cats, so naturally, I wanted to get a kitten. Luckily, a man I work with had a 4 kittens he wanted to find homes for. I picked this guy out on Thursday:

I still haven't thought of a name for him. I've been calling him Crazy A**, 'cuz he's nuts lol but of course, that name simply won't do. If any of your brilliant minds can help me with name ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd like a name that is outdoors/country-type themed. Think hunting, fishing, hiking, the countryside, the outdoors, that kind of thing. Thanks in advance for any input!
I shook my family tree and a bunch of nuts fell out.

sorry guys, haven't been on here in a while! You guys are awesome name generators...so far I really like the names Riley, Rascal, Banjo, and Eli (my cousin thought of that one)

N4L: Polydactyl is the word for when they have an extra toe on each front paw? I couldn't for the life of me think of it! Related question: is it absolutely necessary to have the extra toes removed, or will he be just fine with them? I think most people have them removed, right?

Our cats have strange names too. We have Shiloh, Phantom, Archie, Taz (this one is a little more common), and (used to have :mecry: :mecry: :mecry: :mecry: :angel3: :angel3: :angel3: :angel3:) Salem.

I think the cat should be named Cricket.

Polys have at least one extra toe. There is no reason to have them removed unless they cause a problem. The Hemingway House in Key West is overrun with them and they all seem happy!

That's cool about the cats there!

I was going to say when I was growing up polydactyl cats were preferred as mouse hunters on farms, not sure that there's an ACTUAL connection between their extra toes and mousing skills, but people who wanted barn cats seemed to want them more.
