I run our cattle ranch. We raise Dexter Cattle. They are a rare Irish breed of cattle originally bred to be small for farmers with little acreage. They are the smallest breed of cattle but they are naturally that size instead of overly selected to be small. They are dual purpose, meaning that they make good dairy or beef cattle. In addition, they are smart enough to be trained as draft animals (oxen). Their milk production is impressive for their size and a single Dexter provides a higher percentage of meat per animal than conventional cattle.
