I was just thinking about my crazy napping habits. I've always loved to nap, but it's gotten ridiculous lately.
I used to nap for about 3 hours, which is a complete REM cycle, so that made sense. Now I might sleep 5 or 6 hours at a time.
I guess the bottom line is that I need way more sleep than in the past, and I've always needed lots of sleep.
This is just one of many body changes I've noticed, and I'm wondering if it has to do with hormones. I turned 40 recently.
Without going into too much detail:
- I have B.O. for the first time.
- My period is pretty random at this point.
- My facial hair is even more impressive than it used to be.
- My mood is less stable than normal.
I'm seeing my doctor next month, but does this sound like hormones? Menopause? If so, what do I need to ask?
