Hi, My name is Mary. I started in horse's when I was about 3. A friend of the family's daughter showed hunter / jumpers, so that's who I got to ride with when I was very small.I was taught alot at a young age. When I was 10 I got to go ride at the barn of Winrock Farm, owned by my parents friends. Their daughter was the trainer. I learned alot. When I was 11, I got my first horse. He was a 3 yr. old TB off the track. He was to become my hunter / jumper. He became that with much hard work & much love. We became one. We did alot together. He was my best friend. I was horseless for 18 years after my 9 yrs with Koko, but then married & moved to Okla & got another horse.I love the horse for the animal they are.At that time in my life, I was thrilled to just have a horse. Decided at 39 I wanted a new challenge in my life. I wanted to learn to barrel race. You are never to old to learn is my attitude. I took lessons & I did it. 13 years later I am still barrel racing at 54. I breed barrel prospects & am proud to say I've bred some winners. I love these horse's & they are why I get up in the morning & why I go on when things are down. I have a wonderfull husband who is a part of all of this. He is a federal firefighter, so he has his work to do, but still is involved in what I do. I am very blessed to have a life I love.
