I just joined this board and I guess the right thing to do is to introduce myself. I grew up around horses, broke 'em, ran gymkhana and a few rodeos, taught rideing to kids, and basically lived for them. I think I was 3 when my dad put me on my first horse, but when I was in my early 20's I had to give 'em up. Now, almost 30 years later I'm back in the saddle, been trail rideing for a year or so and getting ready to start gameing in the Spring. It's been a lot of years, but I'm slowly building up my confidence and working with my Arab mare on the patterns. I have a soft spot for Arabs, Paints and Quarters, but also own a nice Morgan gelding that's a dream on the trail, although he's not to good in the arena.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some of you and learning from your experience.

Thank you so much for the welcome. VAQHMA I was just down your way last week. Went to the PSHA Interstate games at Clark Co. fairgrounds. Sis lives in Portland, so I actually go down that way quite a bit.

Hey, we're neighbors! I'm in Lewis Co. too.
I'm still working my way around the boards, but so far I really like this site. Thanks.

Cool! We probably already know each other.
The best way to get your feet wet is to post introductory photos of your horses either on the General Chit Chat or the General Horse Talk boards. Everyone here LOVES photos.
Have Fun!
