We went to the HC camping trip at Many Cedars Campground in Hohenwald, TN. Thought you might enjoy pics of our rides. The terrain was quite varied and went from moderate to difficult. I would say you need at least an advanced beginner experience level on the easier trails.

Will try to keep them in some semblance of order, but they get mixed up in pb.

Day 1 - First 3 pics are myself, the last 4 are MixedUpTease.

The first day was the most "extreme" for us. There were some serious rocks and serious hills. We were both a little shell shocked and did NOT get pictures of the hard stuff as we worked just to get our 4 years olds up and down those hills safely.

More day 1. - Again, myself on Ruby and MixedUpTease on Mixie. The mares are both 4 yrs old and half sisters that I bred.

The 2nd day we took it a lot easier on our horses and only covered about 4 miles instead of 9 or 10 in these hills. (remember, FL horses here, not used to hills) The trails we found were a lot less rocky and not as steep of hills.

Day 2 - again, MUT and I.

Holy cow...14 hours' drive? But it looks like it was worth the drive. Very pretty. How much of a hassle was it crossing state lines with horses?

The southern tip of Utah is about six hours away from me--count me in on an Utah ride! I love traveling through the state; it's such a beautiful place.

SpottedApps: Regarding HC BBs, you need to list who is who in the photos. Inquiring minds want to know...

Very pretty country, great photos. Thanks for sharing with us!

Utah is a long haul for us but with enough advanced planning we could make it! Utah is one of the places I would really love to ride.

Sorry guys, got so busy with updating the blog re: the ride and the posts on GCC, that I kind of just slapped these up here.

Temps, it was 45-50 at night and a perfect 70 during the days. Yes, 14 hours drive, but the last two years BBs have come downt to Florida, so I agreed to go North this time. It was indeed a long drive for a couple of day trip. We'll try to do the next one a little closer, hoping for GA or AL.

I'll go edit posts with pic names. Most of the pictures are just MixedUpTease and I.
