  1. OMR's news from the hills

PD I am 1/2 mile up the hill from the Yardelle church, and on the right. Sand Hill Cem. is to my northeast about 1/2 mile by air. Yep must be the air.

Yes things are going great with the new girlfriend. She keeps my mind thinking, She is loaded with trivia info and is always asking me things, I have to stop and think about but I can find the answers. I did not meet her until we had talked for many, many weeks before we decided to meet. I really did not care what she looked like at that point, I was deeply in love with her mind, then the fact she is pretty hot, well that is icing on the cake. I now have 17 more horses for a total of 22, seven geldings, all but two are AQHA, good big deep muscled horses for roping or rodeo. Have a couple really good looking bays, a black-coal black, do have a dark bay, almost black, poor thing is sweet but looks like a shorteared mule. Do have a new 1 week old dunn filly, born here within 3 hours of arriving here from Colorado, WYO, NEB area. She is super sweet. Yes Imprinted!!!! Some *** turned the horses out on the HWY Thursday PM. I managed to get them back with the help of my Arab, he loved hearding the herd. It took me a couple hours to roundup the stud I had cut Friday. He is doing great we worked the ropund pen a bit today, He will really get smart now!!! Brain surgery you know. I love my new truck, 06, 2500 HD Silverado Gas, 4dr 4X4, has everything, Quigly Down under sounds great on the Bose system, while hauling horses, took two trips. Gas milage sucks while towing but hey $500. for 3500 miles verse $10,000. for a diesel motor, thats a lot of fool and not tow any better than the diesels do. Well as I said things are going Great, if it was any better it would not be my life, if it was any worse I would want it to be someone elses. Yes, its great, great, great I just dont have time to get on the net much. Did I mention all the ticks to pull of the horses? Oh My God ticks ticks ticks, put Permethin pour on on five of them but did not do much good, so I will increase the amount another 3cc's, for about 5 or 6 cc on the rest of the horses. Do Have a bunch of great horses, many 3 and 3 year olds, a couple would be great trail horses or jumpers. John [ 06-03-2006, 12:19 AM: Message edited by: OzarkMountianRider ]
  3. Honeymoon in the Ozarks i'm back PICS

Cong! Yep other places are neat, but the Ozarks are one of a kind. Its where I make my home.
  4. Drafts as trail mounts

They are great for certain terrian. I have ridden some drafts and I am here to tell you there are palces that lesser horses cannot go that drafts can on trails. Not many horses can do 40-50 miles in a day, drafts can with ease. Not many horses can traverse the deep mush of the artic tundra all day long in the summer, drafts CAN!!! and give you more!!! Someone said Drafts were not the best trail horses, bulloney, they are one of the best. Most are smoother riding than most of the gaited breeds and nearly as fast as the quarter horse. Dont believe that crap Drafts are not the best for trails, they are darn hard to beat!!

The sole callous has been removed as the toe and sole in the toe area has been trimmed too short, leaving an upright hoof. I would look for someone who has a clue as to what they are trimming. Carol Get another farrier asap. Never use that last jerk again. If you do your horse in going to be crippled for life.

Horse fun, right. Someone might be thinking the samething about someones friend being sick and them posting here. I tan skins and do some taxidermy, I also wanted to kinda show you what happens when you leave dog and cat food out at night. This also hows you that even though you may be close to the center of twon, you never know what goes on in town at night. Last summer, I saw a male Roadrunner on the Northwest corner of the square on Saturday morning. I posted that too. This post also should show you how to be tolorant of others. After all some of you are hollering be politically correct and all that crap. Double edge sword, HUH? On one hand you say be tolorant of others and on the other hand don't want to hear about simple things in life that other do. If I posted Dead horse on highway, a bunch of you would be all over it about how sad that was. Well ya know if the shoe fits wear it. I choose to preserve and conserve on of GOD's animals for longer than I will live and for others to say "I did not know bobcats would come into town." Check your bath and body stuff for gylicerin products.

Funny all these are arts and trade you would have probably watched on tv as educational. Hum, you ride a horse, is that not sick to some religions? You have leather saddles, you use glycerin based soaps and creams, most glycerin is rendered from ANIMALS at a RENDERING PLANT and you rub it on your skin and things like KY gel is made from Glycerin. Hum carefull what ya say. Just sick that someone knows this amount of knowledge isn't it.

NOpe just post with soild facts. Just because you dont agree with it don't mean I am stirring the pot. Kinda like those girls who clean a horses sheath without gloves. I always use gloves. Like the pro war and anti war people its a different view point. Not yours but still different. In another post today some said in PA horses were not livestock, well I know they are I also posted the link where to find how PA classifies horses, yeap as livestock. Matter of fact a state cannot rule HORSE ARE NOT LIVESTOCK. Reason the USDA has the highest ruling on animals and they say HORSES ARE LIVESTOCK. Now what you classify your horse as must reflect to some extent what and where you deal with your horse. If they were companion pets, why would cities say "No Livestock within" i.e. keeping a horse in your yard etc. Nope I dont do it to stir the pot, I post it to state a fact. In this case why waste a perfectly good fur, to rot away into nothing. What makes this one a trophy is the fact it was inside our city limits and the fact I think strongly this is the same cat that has raided my fish pond from time to time.

Ok, some of you know I tan hides, fur on and do some taxidermy work. Well from time to time I see a raodkill thats fresh, so I stop check the critter out and sometimes keep it. Over the past two years I have lived pretty close to the center of town. Having a gold fish pond I have seen the numbers dewidle away. Then one day I found the cause, a smallish bobcat sitting watching the fish. So over the months I see it from time to time, I had seen the tail up and was pretty sure it was a female. Anyway A couple weeks ago I see a dead bobcat across from our high school. I passed it for two days, then finally I had to check it out. It had been very cold, and when I checked not a scratch on the hide, yeap it was a female, looking like she had weaned her first litter of kittens. Looking at the pretty skin with a few minor tears on the edge of the ears (from kittens playing) I take her home in the trailer. Yes I skinned her and the only place that was damaged was the skull a minor crack dead center to the rear. Nothing on the skin, no bruises nothing. Someday I will tan the skin and alter a mannikin to fit for a custom pose and mount the skin on the form. I am glad I stopped, for now she will be CONSERVED for the FUTURE, instead of organic waste at the roadside.

  15. Take time for God, Jesus and pray.

Gotta arguee, God and Jesus are not one. God, gave his only begotten son, so that who so ever believith in him (GOD) shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus is the son of GOD. Wonder why in the last 5-10 years there has become the confusion that Jesus amd God are one?? I am sure you remember, God, Jesus and the combination called the Holy Ghost. Even the Catholics know this when they kneel and cross their chest. Now back to who ate the apple first, its was EVE in the book of Genisis, then later tempted Adam explaining the things she say. Facts about the bible most use today. Our Bible was divided into chapters by Stephen Langton about A.D. 1228. T he Old Testament was divided into verses by R. Nathan in A.D. 1448. the New Testament by Robert Stephanus in A.D. 1551. The entire Bible divided into chapters and verses first appeared in the Geneva Bible of 1560. Of God, Jesus and the Devil; The climax of the confrontation in the Beelzebub story comes in Matthew 12:30-32. In this passage Jesus not only warns His hearers that there is no neutrality in the great struggle between good and evil, but He goes on to say that anyone who credits the work of God to the devil has committed the unpardonable sin (vs. 31). While it is technically true that people can speak against the Son and still be forgiven, they cannot do so and be forgiven if they are under the conviction of the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the Messiah. To do so would be to reject the prompting of the Holy Spirit in their heart and mind. The result is a hardened conscience (1 Timothy 4:2); Titus 1:15) that can no longer respond to the Spirit's work of leading people to repent of and confess their sin (John 16:8). Such rejecters are beyond the reach of God's Spirit, for they have tuned out the only channel through which God can reach them. When that is done, they are beyond hope. They have committed the unforgivable sin. Many sensitive Christians worry that they have committed the unpardonable sin. The very fact that they are concerned is an indication that they are still listening for the Spirit and desire to respond to Him. Frederick Bruner is right on target when he writes, "the spirit of the sin against the Spirit is an unworried adamancy. It is impenitence, the unwillingness to repent? It is not careless acts, it is a hardened state" (Bruner, 1:462). Jesus goes on to claim that the true state of people can be told by the words that come out of their mouths (Matthew 12:33-37). Such a truth does not bode well for the Pharisees, whose mouths have recently set forth the view that Jesus' actions were inspired by the devil rather than God. If they continue in that line, Matthew 12:22-37 implies, they will eventually commit the unpardonable sin. 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
