  3. Stall Skins

We just put stall skins in all of our stalls at work (Vet Clinic). I just love them. We have drain tile, then pea rock, then framed out the stalls and put 2X6 treated lumber down and the stall skins over that. The water and urine drain right through with no problems. twinbja
  4. Fecal sample question

I work at a vet clinic and a frozen sample is not good but a refridgerated one with not hurt. They will still be able to see if you're horses have any worms or not. Twinbja

  8. Bad Injury

On friday (5-9-08)I came home and went out to feed the horses and found that my sister's 2yr old filly had cut her front heel very badly. I had to rush her to the clinic. She cut the inside of the front left leg down to the hoof but thank god she did not cut the cornary band and she cut the bulbs of the heel almost off. The wound was very deep as the vet could stick his index finger all the way in. She did not cut a tendon or cut into the joint pocket thank god. She has 6 stitches and is on stall rest for 1 week with bandage changes every other day for that week just to make sure that it is not infected. Then she will have a cast put on for at least 2 weeks. Sorry this is so long. I will try to post pics later. Twinbja

  12. Bathing Question

I like to rinse the entire horse first. Then I mix my shampoo in a pail of water and scrub the horse that way. (I dont like to put the shampoo directly on the horse). Soak the tail in that pail and scrub. Then rince and apply a conditioner in the main and tail.
