  4. "Buzz Words" Phrases we use that confuse....

Fixen to lay down.... ....I have watched many people look over shoulder and say whaaat! When their horse is pawing in the creek then proceeds to lay down. For the life of me I am confused with what people hear and think when spoken to

  9. Stacey Westfall Demo

I think that maybe the passion and willingness to have fun and train a horse like she does is much the same thoughts as Pat P. Glad you had fun, Cheri!!! Clinton is my favorite living horse trainer.

  11. Training vs. abuse

I think: mis-use(spl) and abuse could be linked together. There is no differance in someone not knowing how to follow through with one certain type of training than with a training step that is called a natural training step. I think many get caught up in others way of doing things and tend to look down on it,when in fact many should help other people if they want it and if not just stay backout of harms way and pray for them. not knowing is not knowing and any effort to try and fix the issue is a step in learning. one person may say jerk when the next may say bump with the same pressure being used just a few of my thoughts

  13. From one place to another

Has anyone ever bought/sold/trained a horse that acted one way at one place and when moved to new home/place the horse acted like you carried the wrong one? I have noticed this twice in the past two weeks. This subject can be broad so..... I believe for the most part horses that are in a run-in/open barn set up and moved into a stalled/boarding set up that they will need time to adjust from freedom being taken away along with all the new smells and sounds of the new place.
  14. From one place to another

Along with acting in a new way one horse came in heat the night of being stalled up and the next day was a fruit-loop in the barn. Young studs just a barn wall away along with 6 to 8 new horses and it reminded me of a train wreck. Another horse went from a 10yr old little girl who was riding by herself on this horse to a 50ish yr young first time horse owner woman.Total change along with new barn. I wonder how a horse can be brought along in one setting to handle another without really having the next setting the horse will encounter.

  17. Leading

just come up with a cue to get him going. sounds like you might have it headed your way. was your whip in your left hand while you was leading? then you kept looking forward and ask for a little speed then when not given you tapped behind yourself and on his hip?

The last few days a couple of topics was right on line with his show, I thought maybe people with head shy, ear shy, bridle shy, or just nervous might watch and chat. His show had a session on the world games where U.S.A won the gold in reining

As I read some posted topics I can see that if everyone had rfdtv..... ....alot of problems could be seen and then have an idea on how to fix. like the idea of dennis holding pad under arm and while holding it horse got to smell and touch while dennis is faceing rear of horse? all while a slight bend in neck.
