  1. It is finally cool enough to ride!! After the hottest summer I can remember the weather is cooperating and just maybe we can get in a few good trail rides before it gets too cold! My wife (Mary) riding her Morgan Speck and my riding buddy (Tony) riding my Walker Spike and I riding Penny loaded up Saturday in cool clear 40 degree morning. There were probably about 75 horses there and about 15 wagons that were loaded down with kids and family's with all their friends. The weather warmed to a comfortable 70 degrees by mid morning with low humidity and clear blue sky's with just a hint of gentle breezes. There were a few horses that were enjoying the cool weather a little more that they should have. I saw a few riders get bucked off and few made the eight seconds! Most of these horses probably haven't been ridden for six months or so. No one was seriously injured and most went on to finish the ride. All in all it was a great day and a good time was had by all! 2. Fall Pics'

Love the colors! We don't have much color in our fall because it simply doesn't get cold enough. There are a few trees that turn but it isn't spectacular like your area. Keep those beautiful pics coming.
  3. A Cupala Kinda Purty Pitchers

GG I really like the reflection pic! Sorry about all your medical woes. Growing old ain't all its cracked up to be but it sure beats the alternative!
  4. Packing Out

Zaar that sure is some beautiful country! I would like to try a pack trip soon. My buddy Jeremiah is working for an outfit neat Jackson Hole Wyoming right now Jingling horses, cooking, and guiding mule deer hunts at a camp 40 miles from nowhere. They pack everything in and out for as long as two week trips. Thanks for sharing the pics

  7. Cub Scouts At The Farm

I had pleasure of having about twelve cub scouts at the farm today. They came to fish and ride my horses. Even after banging my leg badly in a horse wreck I just couldn't disappoint the kids. The last time we planned this it got rained out. Two of my grandsons were there as well as my daughter Sarah and my son in law Rick. A good number of parents also came and they seemed to have as much if not more fun than the kids! It was a beautiful day and the fishing was good especially in the catfish pond. I hope you all enjoy the pictures!! Tiffany and my daughter Sarah Son in Law Rick Fishing off pier Grandson Jackson eating hot dog Grandson Connor eating

I know that I have posted a lot of pics from Blakley before. I swear that it isn't the only place I ride but the only place that i seem to remember the camera! We went riding today in near perfect weather with good friends, great horses and few bugs. I was riding my new walker Penney, Tony was riding Spike and Robbins was riding my Morgan Speck. We ran into my Friend Marion and her daughter Carley. Penney is a great horse but simply hasn't been there done that. There is a picture of a small walkway that crosses a marshy, muddy , area that she decided ate horses. She side stepped into some small trees and I got caught by a Magnolia limb that I hung onto until she moved away and the limb broke. My leg got raked over the saddle horn right behind my right knee and down my calve. I was then neatly deposited flat on my back! I will live but I don't think I will be able to walk tomorrow! Penney sure is tall! Tony and Robbins Marion and Carley
