  3. Fagan Update...rip

Thank you all so much!! It's still such a shock.
  4. Fagan Update...rip

got word from Fagans current owner (i sold him in 2013) that on May 26 Fagan passed away in his sleep. We have no idea what happened and I do not know if she will have a necropsy done. Please send prayers and good thoughts to his current owner, and extrahannah who raised him and allowed me to have him for a few precious years. He was truly one of a kind.
  5. Rodeo: Yay Or Nay?

Well oz, it seems NOW, she is. :) I started tuning in more recently so it's definitely possible I've missed past posts lol.
  6. Rodeo: Yay Or Nay?

Same. There are just too many questionable things that make me uncomfortable with this sport. The views of these well educated veterinarians are interesting to me and don't come off as propaganda at all IMO. I don't think rodeo should be banned, but i won't be attending any events. On another note, I've been following threads over the years and it seems like ANY time blondyy tries to debate, people get personal and throw insults. You guys know that's not how a debate works right? You can't just get angry when someone disagrees (and has valid points) and all but bully them. Blondyy, I don't agree with everything you post, but you sure do a good job at keeping your cool! :)
  7. Ever Feel Like You're Surrounded By Idiots?

Agreed! Doctors have misdiagnosed me a few times now because they just want to write out a prescription and send me off. *i* have to say "you keep treating me __, what if I actually have __" or "wait shouldn't we run blood work to rule out __" That's how they missed my Lyme disease and it nearly killed me.I have the same problem with veterinarians. If I don't suggest it, they don't bother with it. Heck even getting my haircut today proved to be a challenge. It's 20 degrees outside, you're going to dry my hair right? "Ohh oops yeah I should huh?". Everyone wants to do a slapdash job, no matter what field they're in.
  8. Keep An Eye On Your Horses!

Exactly! It's pure speculation with no proof.
  9. Drug Induced Dead Hollywood Stars

Great article!! "Whenever someone famous dies, there seems to be this immediate attempt by far too many people to make their life and death insignificant, as though the death of a celebrity somehow negates the death of all the other people who died on that given day. People attempt to place more value on the lives of some people, less on others, claiming that the celebration of the death of a celebrity is a misplaced outlaying of our efforts. I argue the opposite, obviously, particularly in situations like this one where there is so much opportunity for us to learn about addiction, about mental illness, about why lives end this tragic way." You can read the rest here http://debiehive.blogspot.com/2014/02/addiction-mental-health-and-society.html?m=1
  10. And why don't other countries have this problem? Take a look at the process of owning a gun in Japan. "To get a gun in Japan, first, you have to attend an all-day class and pass a written test, which are held only once per month. You also must take and pass a shooting range class. Then, head over to a hospital for a mental test and drug test (Japan is unusual in that potential gun owners must affirmatively prove their mental fitness), which you'll file with the police. Finally, pass a rigorous background check for any criminal record or association with criminal or extremist groups, and you will be the proud new owner of your shotgun or air rifle. Just don't forget to provide police with documentation on the specific location of the gun in your home, as well as the ammo, both of which must be locked and stored separately. And remember to have the police inspect the gun once per year and to re-take the class and exam every three years." http://m.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/07/a-land-without-guns-how-japan-has-virtually-eliminated-shooting-deaths/260189/
  11. Natural Birthers

    Hilarious. Love a good satire.
  12. Baby Nyx In The Snow! *pics*

Thanks guys!!! I love her so much!
  13. Hey

    Were you the writer??
  14. How Old Before Left With Others?

This. You can have whatever opinion you want! But you also have double standards. You're allowed to state your opinion, but when I stated mine you called me "uneducated". And you're getting upset because others share the opinion that you were snarky. Now how does that work? You want us to be kind and tactful in our responses, but your Facebook comments were blunt and rude. I don't think you were really looking for a debate, but for people to back you up and make you feel better about being called out...
  15. Rodeo Girls

The barn I was at was in Japan, and everything is just so much more expensive there. All of the warmbloods are imported, so I get why the prices are jacked up. They're soooo overloaded by TB's and if you want anything else, you gotta import.
