Corrie, I'm gonna have to be another person to pressure you into getting your 4 year degree lol. Like Krystal said, they want to see that you got your degree. This says a bunch of things about you - mainly that you're capable of showing up on time, accepting the responsibility of work, applying yourself, meeting deadlines, etc. If you couldn't do all those things, you wouldn't be able to get that degree, right? So my advice would be to stay, get your degree in something that you can tolerate, and just get it out of the way. The truth is that even BACHELOR'S degrees are a dime a dozen. Getting your associate's degree isn't going to make you competitive relative to the hoards of people out there with their 4 years (unless you get your 2 year, then accumulate lots of experience, or you get your 2 year in something that's in demand even when you're fresh out of school). What would you get your associate's degree in? Can you find a 4 year program for that? I REALLY think you should stick it out. I'm only saying that because within my department (I'm an accounting major), about 75% of the students in all of my classes are adults who are coming back to get their bachelor's degrees. They've got their 2 year degrees in accounting and plenty of experience, but they don't have the same opportunities. They do a LOT of the same work a licensed CPA does, but they make less than half the salary. Employers DO want to see that you've graduated from a 4 year program. It's not fair, but it is what it is. It's the difference between getting a job and not getting a job, plus it gives you more leverage when you're negotiating a salary. As far as motivation - look at what you wrote. You want to move to Astoria with your boyfriend and make a life there. The fact is that you'll have a MUCH easier time making that happen if you have your 4 year degree. Keep reminding yourself of that and it'll help. :) I'm not trying to sound like your mother lmao, but yeah... just based on all the people I've talked to at my school who are coming back, it's definitely the best idea to stay in school. But best of luck with whatever you choose :)

There you go. If there's anything I've learned over the past year, it's that you never really have any idea of what's going on in the other person's head. You may think you've made it perfectly obvious that you like him, and you might be thinking that if he liked you too he'd reciprocate in his actions, but if you haven't flat out told him you liked him/asked him if he liked you, you can't be sure that he knows. Another thing I've learned is that as much as it sucks and is terrifying to ask those things and risk rejection, it sucks even worse to sit around wondering "what if?" Plus, you never know how well it'll turn out. What you see as a random-*** text message about a house is probably his way of finding some way to start a conversation with you, which is a good sign that you HAVEN'T done something wrong. So I say just give it a shot and ask. If he doesn't like you back, it'll suck for a while and eventually you'll get over it. If he does, well then there you go. :)

Sorry I haven't updated in so long, I haven't had much time to be on here lately, but thank you again for all of the prayers and well-wishes! It turns out that he did fracture his leg, and technically it did spiral but it wasn't a catastrophic spiral that would have meant putting him down. Basically he's going to be in a stall until June/July, and then he can slowly be started back into controlled exercise until he has enough strength to handle limited turnout. He's at a rehab farm now, and he's doing really well - so well that he's starting to feel a little too good in his stall, and now he needs ace every day so he doesn't hurt himself doing something stupid lol - so we're keeping our fingers crossed. Given the nature of the fracture he'll still be at risk for damaging his leg further until the end of the strict stall rest period, so right now it's just a matter of keeping him calm, not letting him get too riled up in the stall, and monitoring for little changes. Here he is at the clinic back in January - he doesn't have any wraps on his leg anymore. And here he is at his new place. :) Thanks again guys! It means a lot!

Quick question for you guys who frequent AE/aerie - has anyone tried the Vintage Lace perfume from aerie? What did you think of it? I might make a trip to the mall to see what I think but I figured I'd get some opinions first. Is it light? I typically don't care much for perfume, especially the heavy ones that hang around you all day and are so strong you eventually get sick of the smell of it, but this one sounds like it would be pretty good. =)
  15. Think Good Thoughts/pray For Jake

He's doing better as far as getting around his stall goes! He's not limping AS badly, but he's still pretty sore. They took him off the bute and put him on previcox, and he's doing just as well on that as he was on the bute, so that's good. Basically we still don't really know anything yet, and we won't find anything out for another week or so when they do the radiographs again, so for now they're pretty much just trying to keep him comfortable and keep him from doing further damage to the leg if it is fractured. I took some pictures of him with my phone while I was at the clinic over the weekend, so I'll edit this post with them later. Thank you for asking! :)
