I love animals and I hope to become a DVM someday. I want to double major in Biology and Neuroscience for my undergrad and then go on to Grad school. I love martial arts(specifically Aikijitsu) and fitness. Dogs are my favorite animal and horses coming in at a close second. That's about the basics on me... I'm not to interesting!

Gosh, tell me about it. I just got done with a 30 minute run on the treadmill. Talk about monotonous. Running is bad enough outside, it totally blows on a treadmill=(

If I'm trying to lose weight, I count my calories. I usually stick to 1500, depending on how hard I work out that day. If I'm just trying to maintain my weight, I just eat healthy.

Yeah, I explained it to them, they still aren't too keen. But the problem is he isn't my families type. He's more of a city person verses a hardcore farmer. But he's still country, that's the funny thing. I don't know, my families pretty jacked up. He's really funny and outgoing verses quiet, which is another strike against him. Ugh, I told them I was going to prom with him and I got the whole "I'm really disgusted you would stoop to that level" deal. ha ha, oh well. They'll get over it. I haven't told them I'm going to hang out with him on friday yet. I'm sure that will really go over well

Those things are friggin' amazing!!! I love them! Ha ha, I went shopping for my prom dress in the beginning of January, and I wore an 8. I went back a week ago and I wore a 6, and I bought my prom dress. So now I have to maintain a dress size of a 6 til prom. eek! Easter is coming up, that maybe challenging! ha ha.
  5. Prom Dresses

I just got my dress last week! It was only $99 dollars, and I absolutely love it!

Circuit Training is the BOMB! You should google it, it's amazing. Total fat burner. If you want to get in shape, you are going to have to do some type of cardio. If you can't run (I'm not a huge runner... I jog about 4x a week. I have injuries that keep me from getting to serious about it) try biking. I love biking! Strength training is a huge component in any exercise regiment. No offense, but I doubt doing 15 pushups and 10 sit ups a day is going to make a noticeable difference. You should workout for the minimum of 30 minutes a day, incorporating squats, planks, different types of abs, and weight training. I usually run first, and then do my strength training. I also martial arts train several times a week. Set a goal, any goal. Like to run a 5k or something. My sister and I are hopefully planning on completing a marathon sometime in November, and I want to get my next belt in my martial arts class. Make sure you have a goal that isn't appearance/weight related, because it will get discouraging. And jump roping is just about the best workout ever, and it burns a crap ton of calories! And you can do it inside. It's great for circuit training. Make sure you get enough protein and the right kinds of fats. Don't go to low on your calories, because it will slow your metabolism down and do the opposite of what you want. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you?

I know I don't post very often, but I could really use some outside advice on this one. It maybe a little long, but it's pretty entertaining if you can read through the whole thing. Ok, so, all through high school I had two really close friends. We were pretty much inseparable. We were known in our school as 'the group'. We were always together, got along great, and were total dorks. One girl in the group started dating this guy from another school. We'll call the girl Naomi and the guy Sean. Ok, so Naomi just got out of a bad relationship but she is the type of girl that can't be alone. She's very dependent on other people. I was a little leery of this new guy, but I really hated her last boyfriend, so I did my best to be nice and try to like him. We didn't exactly hit it off if you know what I mean. Long story short, Naomi pretty much ditched her friends and was up this guys butt 24/7. So Mara and I got tired of being taken advantage of, so we just started hanging out together. We get really close. Naomi and I used to be the best friends of the group, and it all flip flopped when she started dating Sean. Mara and I were inseparable. Sure, we still hung out with Naomi, but only when she had time for us. She wasn't willing to put any time into the friendship, so Mara and I just kinda let it die. Fast forward 2 months and her and Sean break up. She comes crawling back to our group expecting everything to be the same and it wasn't. Sure, we still included her, but it was obvious the Mara and I were best friends now. Ok, so Naomi comes from a notoriously crazy family. She claimed some awful stuff about Sean that I believed because she was my friend. So I naturally grew to hate Sean even more. But then Naomi started changing. She started talking about me behind my back and just totally not acting like a friend at all. She started a bunch of lies and rumors at school about me. And honestly, it was for no apparent reason. I'm still puzzled as to why she started to hate me. I honestly did not do a thing. So I totally dropped her as a friend. I didn't need that crap, especially my senior year. Anyway, I began to realize that maybe Sean wasn't as bad as he was made out to be. Mara is good friends with Sean and I'm best friends with Mara, so naturally it happened that we hung out occasionally. I started hanging out with him and Mara, and he actually is kind of nice. Naomi and Sean broke up in October, so it's been over for a while. I'm taking him to prom, and we want to start hanging out as friends. Nothing serious, we just enjoy each others company. Here's the problem. My entire family hates him because I told them everything that Naomi told me when they broke up. Whether they were lies or not, my family detests him. I haven't broken the news to them yet, that I want to hang out with him or take him to prom. How do you think I should go about it? and, do you think it's terrible for me to take him to prom?
  8. Sooo

I remember those days. I usually just lurk nowadays, with an occasional post here and there. We used to be really friggin' weird, ha ha. I actually kind of miss the randomness. We had some pretty crazy topics.
  9. Sadie :'(

I thought this post was for me, and I was like what the heck?! I don't know you ... ha ha. Sorry about your dog, trust me, I know how you feel. I don't know if anyone remembers, but a couple of years ago I lost my lab. It was probably one of the most traumatizing times of my life.
  10. Hmph. Advice. Boy Advice.

Ha ha, that's what I figure.. I have nothing to lose, it he says no or I make a fool out of myself it won't affect me. I never see him anyway.
  11. Hmph. Advice. Boy Advice.

Hmmm.. I could... just be like. Hey, who are you? ha ha. I wish we had some kind of contact. My friend went to driving school with him, so they aren't exactly best friends, just mutual acquaintances. I mean, they don't hang out or anything.
  12. Hmph. Advice. Boy Advice.

So there is this guy that works at a local restaurant and he is freakin' hott. He is single, and my friend says he is really cool. Anyway, I've been eyeing him for a couple of months now, but the problem is... I've never spoken to him in my life. He isn't a waiter, so I can't talk to him that way. He doesn't go to my school or anything, in fact, we have no contact whatsoever. He doesn't even know I exist. Except he checked me out once when I was eating there, but that was forever ago. So, I'm totally going to ask him out, because I'm sick of being a wimp. But the problem is, I have no idea how. I mean, I could just randomly go up and say "hey, you're hot, we need to hang out." But I don't think that would work very well. I could ask him out over facebook, but that's totally lame and wimpish. I was going to go to the restaurant and ask him in person, but I don't know how to approach it. Or I could have one of my friends (since they are acquaintances with him) mention something, but that's pretty lame as well. Yeah. I'm in a predicament. Any ideas of how to approach it without sounding like a total weirdo?
  13. Homecoming Pics=)

Ha ha, yep, definitely older than you=) Yeah, the dress was really pretty, not what I personally would have picked out, but still pretty.
  14. Chemistry Question..

Agreed. Though I took Chemistry last year, so my memory may be faulty!
  15. Anyone Else...

yuck, a bunch of people are getting sick here too. I hope I don't get it. *crosses fingers* Wow, our whole school is less than 400 kids.
