  3. Show Pictures for Critique!

    I'll take a peek!
  4. How do I strengthing my legs?

Two-pointing and no stirrup work will definitely strengthen your legs, but a word of caution: Don't grip with your knees! Practice not gripping with your knees by releasing your knees away from the saddle every time you are on the "down" phase of posting.

  15. IMPROVMENT?? (pics)

The horse or you? It's impossible to really say anything about the rider because of the angle from the first picture. As for the horse, the first picture, it doesn't look like he's too happy and enjoying work, judging on his expression and ears. I prefer the first picture over the second picture, despite the expression because in the second, he's behind the bit. The third picture is the best, because he's on the verticle and doesn't look unhappy.
  16. The beast in his first American GP... a video

He looks so great in both of the classes. Congrats on such a great horse Colorado deserves the dancing bananas!

Ok, now I can't help with question one, but I may be able to help with question two. For dog shows, we always used corn starch(our dogs were white). It works really well for us. To apply, take a fairly dense brush with softer bristles and tap into pan with corn starch. Then take the brush with the starch in it and brush upwards. You can also use your hands to really get the starch into the hair. I've never heard of using baking soda/baby powder... Sounds like a plan! I think the baking soda/baby powder is the same idea as corn starch. I was applying it with my fingers, but it would just slide right out and leave the area just as yellow as before. Let me know how it works out!
  18. Ah! How cool is this, I didn't even know I owned a PdN

I love finding things like that. One time I figured out that a martingale that I had bought at a tack swap for like $5 bucks turned out to be a Bevel! But definately not as cool a find as yours! Congrats

  22. improving jump pics. critique

I love your arab! He's got lots of chrome! I would really urge you to get proper footwear though. Please get a pair of paddock boots. If money is an issue, there are several options that feature a less expensive, fake-leather outer. Here are a couple of sites that are carry footwear: Dover Saddlery State Line Tack [ 07-02-2007, 12:53 PM: Message edited by: JumperChic182 ]

He is soooo cute! I can't wait to see him u/s. P.S. It's Gerda I(she is here)
  24. So...how tough ARE you?

I've been really lucky and not had too many bad falls. I mean, I've fallen plenty, but they haven't been bad ones persay(sp). My most dangerous encounter w/a horse was when I was run over by a horse and his hoof almost struck my head when I was on the ground.
  25. Riding pictures from this morning.

He is doing amazing Val! You should be very proud!
