  1. And How Did You Spend Your Sunday?

As usual I always enjoy your pictures and adventures, but today we are having a similar temperature drop and quite frankly, I wouldn't mind moving cows but I'll pass on the cold weather. When it gets below 30 degrees my big old arthritic knuckles stiffen up so bad they won't hardly move and believe me I'm trying my darndest to get them to move.
  2. what exactly is a padded TWH

Oh my God, I had no idea!
  3. I realize this is probably a stupid question, but what do they do to a horse that is called a padded horse? Has it got something to do with they are shoed?
  4. critique please & help w/naming this filly

Both the paint horse association and quarter horse accept registeration with one parent being registered with the jockey club. Has anyone considered that the height might be thoroughbred influenced. My paint colt is registered with APHA, but his mother is registered with the jockey club, and his father (that is the paint)is 7/8 quarter horse. But in the stud's breeding there are a significant amount of hunt seat winners and jumping champions which suggested to me that there was more thoroughbred than showed up on paper.

  6. Opinions/ light critique?

My 2 year old Apha has a similar head on him, does yours have any thoroughbred in him? I think your boy is beautiful.

  8. He is not what you sold me!

I bought a pony from the person who was attempting to train me to ride. I asked if he was foundered and the reply was not while I've had him. Well to make a long story short the pony had not only foundered but was continously lame. I have kept him and have tried to make him as comfortable as possible, but the next thing I need to have him tested for is cushings. I give him feed for insulin resistant horses. And he is doing better than when I got him, the first winter he could barely walk. He was for my grandchildren and he has been a real jewel personality wise. I am taking riding lessons again but not with the same person.
  9. Check Out my HoRse and...

I am not good at criticing a horse but the first thing I noticed that beautiful head and kind, soft eye.

  13. cutest baby donkey. EVER!!!!

That was the best smile I had all day
  14. What's so great about a gaited horse?

I chose a foxtrotter for my first horse because when I was growing up my Uncle Boat had one. He would plow the home garden with that horse, ride him to town that evening and put him in a horse show and win several ribbons, then turn around and ride home. Seemed like a pretty versatile horse to me. Yes, when I was a girl they still plowed with a horse or a mule.
  15. Post your 2007 Mounts

    Absolutely beautiful welsh pony.
