  3. Free Horses- In Pa

I wish I could take on more horses but I just can't right now. The paint sounds like something I would want. I will try to spread the word. I just posted the letter on facebook.
  4. Who Is Going To See It?

I am definitely going. I read all three books and thought they were good, hopefully the movie is just as good. I read Water for Elephants and was disappointed with the movie.
  5. I Lost My Job!

I got fired yesterday after 22 years at the same factory! I know it was my fault, I missed too many days and got too many points but I had a dr slip for probably every time. I just don't know what to do with myself now, trying to find a job is not going to be easy! It also is not going to be easy starting over from the bottom! I am soooooo tired of crying and blaming myself and am so freakin depressed! I guess I just needed to get it off my chest and talk to people who don't know me and who will hopefully not attack me for being so stupid! I blame myself enough I can't take anymore people telling me how it is my fault right now so please try to be easy on me right now, Thanks!
  6. Anyone Use The Shape Up Shoes

I bought a pair of the Shape up walking shoes for at home and then also a pair of steel toed ones for work and was just wondering if they really work? I haven't really used them yet well because of the weather and the pair for work I just ordered off the internet and they haven't came yet. Thank You for your input on the subject! Chris
  7. Anyone Use The Shape Up Shoes

I walk about 8 miles daily at work is why I wanted the shape ups for work and will be trying to get around to walking here at night but now that the weather is nice we have to ride when we can, only so many hours of daylight after work. I have chronic back problems so some work out regiments will not work for me so they are not an option! So I thought the shape ups were another route for me, that was why I asked about them, thanks so much for all the advice!
  8. ** Happy Birthday Blaze Indy Stormy **

    Thank You Very Much!!!!!!
  9. Some Awe Pictures Of Baby Buns

I just thought I would share pictures of my bunny babies that I am trying to find homes for. They are Lion Head Lop and Mini Rex mix and Lion Head Mini Rex mix and they are so darn cute. So here are the cuties:
  10. Newbie From Pennsylvania

Hello! I am also from Pa, where are you from in pa? Just wondering if we might be near each other. I am from Elk County.
  11. Some Awe Pictures Of Baby Buns

I also like the fluffy black one but i already have 7 bunnies now so I can't keep any more so I am hoping to find homes for them all.
  12. Sheaths..

My daughter and I clean them at least twice a year and this fall Michaela cleaned several beans out of Blaze one was at least as big as a quarter if not bigger. I worry about the horses plugging up and causing infections, I have heard of more than one in our area so I don't take the chance. One of the horses at our barn right now is peeing orange and it is just drizzling out but we had the vet down today and he tried sedating him and after 5 shots Phantom was still kicking like he wasn't given a thing so he wasn't able to be cleaned out, so now I don't know what his owner is going to do...? I may wait several weeks and see if he might let me clean him but I am not going to get hurt either, any suggestions?
  13. Some Awe Pictures Of Baby Buns

Ok thank God that's all of them , aren't they cute?

  15. Missouri Fox Trotters

I just thought I would share a picture of my Missouri Foxtrotter and he is gaited very nice when he decides to do his gait but he will also trot. He Foxtrots on the trail but if he is in the ring he gets bored and will trot after so long, which I don't blame him I get bored too! But any way here is Indy, Mr Impressive: You can't see it in the photos but he has really pretty blue eyes also!
  16. Rabbit People?

We have the Lion Head and a Mini Rex and a Lion Head Lop and then 4 of their off spring, none of ours have the manes and are easy keepers. We have not had any trouble with their teeth either. If you were closer we have 13 babies we are trying to find loving homes for but now that it is almost Easter we should have no problem. All of ours are quite small, the biggest is probably around 3 pounds. Good luck with what ever you decide to get, they all are fun and loving!
  17. If Your Horse Had A Complaint Jar ...

I know all three of the boys would say come on now we would like to have some girls here for a couple weeks out of the year, the neighbors are starting to talk! LOL Indy and Stormy are definitely saying that Mom needs to shed more than just a few pounds, I swear I can hear them celebrate when I get off. Indy says "Please don't change things on me, I can't handle change!" "For God sakes stop calling me 'Pretty Boy', I am a man!"! Stormy's major complaint would be "Mom, tell the boys to quit picking on me!" And " I didn't do that" Blaze would complain about his rider, she plops down on his poor back all the time no matter how many time we tell her about it! Blaze would be the one to complain about not getting enough food, he is over weight right now so he is only getting enough grain to get his supplements so he probably thinks he is starving.
  18. I bought a Tucker saddle for Christmas and the previous owner used Leather therapy to clean the saddle. I was told once you use the Leather Therapy on your saddles and such you can't go back to using saddle soap or other cleaners because it will cause your leather to become "gummy", is this true? I have always used saddle soap and neastfoot (sp) oil on my saddles and equipment and loved the results so I was just wandering if I can use them on my newer saddle? Leather Therapy is quite expensive and doesn't seam to give the shine we are looking for for show season. Thanks for any answers you all can give me, I appreciate it!
  19. I Have A Question About Leather Therapy...?

Thanks so much. I always rinse the soap off and let the saddle dry thoroughly before conditioning, but thanks for the advice I will try and see what happens before I use it on my saddle.

  21. I Have A Question About Leather Therapy.....?

    Thanks
  22. Back Pain....

I would recommend a heating pad or a nice long hot soak in the tub. I don't have any luck with OTC pills but them I have had back surgery and neck surgery so I have been on prescription meds for so long that even they don't work much for me anymore. I am having problems with my lower back right now so I kindof know where you are coming from, my pain goes right down my legs, I just had shots put into both my hip joints, the SI joints in the back but it hasn't worked so next week I think I have to get a shot right in the spine. My dr prescribed Naproxen for my pain, which is Aleve, I think. I was always told to use heat on my back an it does make it feel better for a while anyway. Good luck.
  23. Diluteme Needs Your Thoughts

:angel3: :huggy: :huggy: :angel3: I am so sorry for their lose, I know how hard it is!
  24. It's Spitting Season!

I go near my draft cross and it is like static city and it just clings to everything, my hands, my lips, everything. He is like a Woolly Mammoth in the winter. My paint has started shedding also but he gets a normal winter coat. My Kentucky Mountain never really got a winter coat so we don't really have to worry about him shedding much.
  25. Do You Wear A Helmet?

I don't wear them, I hate them. I too get head aches from them! And it seams every time I fall off I too hit my head but you know what if I die falling off my horse I died doing something I love! Please do not get on my case for not wearing a helmet, my daughter does enough, a headache from falling off once in a blue moon is better than a headache every time I ride and I love to ride so why ruin what I LOVE ! I ride my horses to relax and get away from the tension and putting a helmet on my head gives me a migraine like a tension headache so therefore I will not wear one!
