  1. Makeup.

I love love love makeup :) Do you wear it? Definitely always. It doesn't matter where I'm going, I always wear makeup. What kind? I wear foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, pressed powder and chapstick. No lip gloss/lip stick for me, for some reason I think shiny lips look weird on me.. haha. I like the matte look. Favorite brands? Well since I'm a poor college student I buy my stuff at target/walmart. I like covergirl for their eyeliner and mascara (Lash Blast mascara in the orange tube, it is the BEST, seriously.) and I love Revlon for their foundation and eyeshadows <-- That's the kind I wear. It lasts all day and they make a lot of pretty colors. Specifics for your skin type/etc? I have kind of oily skin so I avoid anything that has oil in it. Revlon makes foundation for combination/oily skin, and that's what I use. I love it. It goes on evenly, doesn't look cakey and it doesn't make me breakout. Tips? Play around and have fun with eyeshadow colors, but make sure you BLEND BLEND BLEND. I like to buy separate brushes just for eyeshadow to help with blending because sometimes the little stick that comes with the eyeshadow makes hard lines and doesn't blend very well. You can also use your finger or q-tip :). Make sure you blend in your foundation really well too. Plus, make sure that the foundation you have is the right color for your skin. It doesn't look very good when your face is darker than your neck. Also, eyebrows can make a huge difference in the way you look so make sure you keep them nice and tidy! You can have on great makeup but if your eyebrows are a little unruly.. it really ruins the whole look. Opinion on powder foundation versus liquid? I've never liked powder foundation, it's too light for me and doesn't give me very good coverage so I stick with liquid. Then top it off with some pressed powder. Have fun!! and don't be scared to try something new :)
  2. Plans For Life.. After Highschool, college, Etc..

Ugh.. I've been out of high school since Dec. 2007. and every day since I've graduated I've been constantly thinking about my future and what I might possibly want to do. It's such a harrrrdd decision!! Especially when you go just barely pass high school like I did and never took the act's... like I did. [bang Head] stupid me. I've attended 2 community colleges already. One in Iowa, and the one I'm currently going to in Texas. Everyone (family) keeps pushing me to do something in graphic design because I'm creative. But I just can't seem to get excited about it.. I don't think it's something I want to do. Only because I've done a lot of research and I've found they really don't make much money.. and money is a huge deal for me. I want to live a comfortable life and be able to afford nice things. I've been thinking about doing something in the medical field like Pharmacy. Or doing what my dad is doing.. engineering. So far the plan is that I'm going to move back up to Iowa once this semester is over. Work full time over the summer. Take the ACT's in June. Then join the Air National Guard over the winter. It'll pay for all my schooling, make me a better person/more independent, and make me some extra money (always a plus). I'd be in the same unit as my sister so we could drive to drill together. I really can't think of any con's to joining. Then once I'm done with all my training, I'll attend Iowa State and hopefully by then I'll know what I want to do with my life..
  3. Camera Suggestions?

Get a canon! Canon makes great digital cameras. Me and my family have owned a lot of cameras through out the years and I've found that no other camera compares to a Canon. My mom owns this one: PowerShot SD1100 IS. I'm pretty sure it's under 200$. It's small, it takes great pictures, it has a rechargeable batter, and its pretty easy to use. And it comes in fun colors. :) I noticed in the reviews under cons it said that it has flimsy construction. Not true, it's a very solid camera.

  5. Where Do You Want To Go To College?

Haha same here.. never took the SAT/ACT. Now I'm going to a community college as well. I'm either going to go to Iowa State University or the University of Texas at Dallas. We shall see.
  6. Well That's Awkward.

lol Wow.. at least they were nice enough to put a divider in between the two toilets.
  7. I Feel Like A Rediculous Pile Of Poo....

Your story makes me so sad.. most of your problems were so avoidable! You just made some bad decisions.. I agree with what everyone else has said. It's great that you realize that you've made mistakes, now you need to discipline your self, make a plan, STICK to it, and get yourself out of debt. You definitely need to get your priorities straight. You cannot be partying, driving around wasting gas/money, and eating out all the time. Sure when you were a Junior in high school it was cool to party all the time, it was "cool" to get in trouble and be a rebel. But you're out of high school now, you made the decision to start living on your own. Its TIME to GROW up and be an adult. I'm not saying that adults can't go out with friends and have fun too, but you've made a lot of big mistakes. So until you get them straightened out, you can move on with your life. Why are you getting pulled over so much? You're obviously doing something wrong.. speeding or whatever it is your doing, you probably shouldn't do anymore. Also, you say you got fired from a job? Why?? There's no reason to get fired from a job. And I'd like to know why you and your mom were fighting so much? Because you didn't want to do chores? I hope there's a deeper issue than that. She is your mother so you should respect her, make peace with her and ask your family for some help. If they don't want to help, than that's fine you can do it on your own with hard work and dedication.
  8. So Who Else...

I'm actually loving winter right now. It's been in like 60's-high 70's this past week, just perfect weather. I did just move to Texas from Iowa though. So I definitely understand your guys' pain. I absolutely hate winters in Iowa.
  9. Tanning

I agree with everyone else. A tanning bed will do you no good, it will only ruin your skin. I always mystic tan before any important events (prom, senior pics, wedding.. etc.), and it always turns out great. If you follow the instructions you won't turn out orange or streaky. I've always had really good luck with it. It looks real, gives you a nice natural glow, and it won't ruin your skin! So I would say it's definitely something you should look into. :)
  10. Anyone Remember Me?

I remember you, it seems like a lot of oldies are coming back for a visit. :)
  11. LOVE the hair! Its super cute and it makes you look alot older. :)

I have a Chi straightener and although they are over a hundred dollars..OMG they are worth every little red penny! I've had mine for over two years now and I seriously use it ALL THE TIME! And really I don't treat it like a should...I just kinda throw it around and it STILL is like it was 2 and a half years ago! It is like unbelievable...I LOVE my Chi! Ditto to everything! I have a Chi and I absolutely love it. It was well worth the money! Ive had mine for a few years too and it still works just like it did when I first bought it. It heats up in seconds and it will make your hair pin straight! Even on my hair which has tons of body and gets really frizzy/wavy. It's a great straightener and I would definately recommend looking into getting one.
