I am new! Thought that I would share

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

My name is Annie and I am new here to horsecity.com. I raise and show Welsh Ponies and I am just starting to get into Dressage Ponies. I thought that I would post a picture of my Section B Welsh yearling stud colt. His name is Evans Maximus. I showed him this year at his first and only dressage sport horse in hand show, just to test the waters and we came home with a win! I was soooooooooooooo pleased with him. He was the ONLY pony there; made me even more excited about his win. Here is a picture of us before the class. More can be see on my site: http://unbridledoaks.wishbroke.com/sporthorseshow.html

Welcome to HC and the dressage forum [smiley Wavey] it's a great place to get a ton of information and to make plenty of friends. I see that you're also in WA. Is Rearden on the west side, central, or the east side? I'm in Pullman, WA, so I'm way over on the east side. Evans is quite the adorable and good looking pony. Congratulations on your win!

Hi Annie...first things first...stunning pony you have there! And congrats on your win. Awesome job...you obviously are very talented and know what you are doing! It shows. I want to ask you a question....I went to your very nice web site. And I noticed the background. It hit me like a ton of bricks! I LOVE that tree with the horse heads inter-twined in with the tree and forming a heart shape...I was wondering if you could send me a big picture of that. Or where I can find a print of it to buy! I must have it! Let me know. And welcome to HC...it's a pretty cool place. I have been riding for 23 years and I still find lots of things to learn! It never stops....the learning that is. I hope to hear back from you soon about that picture! I just have to hang that on my wall. It is beautiful! Thanks for your time! See around the boards!

PS..I PMed you the same thing as above...FYI

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the kind complements!

Indy - I am on the west side also!! Reardan is 20 miles west of Spokane.

Thank you everyone on the complements on Maximus!! He is quite the character. I will have to post some pictures of him playing. He LOVES soccer balls. I have never seen a pony or horse go after them like he does. Such a clown to watch play. He was one of those horses that right when he was born I knew had to have him. I design his breeder's web site, so I got first looky-loos on him and I was like, I WANT HIM!! LOL!! Needless to say, he was mine a week after he was born! LOL! He has done qutie well for me in the show ring and I look forward to next year.

Luvemall - Thank you on the background. That is actually my logo that I drew up 2 years ago. I drew it from the last part of my farm name (the tree theme: Oaks) and I kept the horse influence in it.

Thank you everyone for your complements!!

Best,

Annie

Thank you for the complements on Maximus. We all here think he is pretty special! Here is another one of my ponies, International Supreme Champion and performance Champion Land's End Royal Fox, Section B gelding. He has won so much and done so well in the show ring for us here at Unbridled Oaks, thought that I would share the pony who got us here.

Welcome aboard! I'm sort of new on this board, too, and must say there are a lot of really nice people posting with great suggestions and advice. Love your pony -- he's gorgeous and CONGRATULATIONS on your WIN!! Have always liked Welsh ponies. Sort of a mini Morgan.

Hi Unbridled,

I am not jumping him (long story, but I can't jump- stupid bones that break easily!grrr) but my friend is, and they're going to a show next weekend. He'll be jumping 2'3. His knees are up to his eyeballs and he has perfect flying changes. This will be his 3rd show-the other two were intro level horse trials- he got a 2nd and a 3rd! I'll have to post some pictures for you.

That chestnut you posted pictures of is stunning! I love love love Welshes!

Hey Michelle!!!

Yep! I am so glad that I found them too. It has been so much fun reading and posting. Everyone, this is Michelle's favorite pony on my farm, Evans Casino Royale. He is a Section B Welsh, and the SWEETEST THING EVER!! She may just end up with him next spring............. [big Grin]

Oh I know!!

Well, next year, I am sure I will still have him because he is really starting to grow on me, and you will show him. [big Grin]

For all those out there, Casino and Maximus, my stallion, are 1/2 brothers, out of the same dam. The mare that they are out of is just an awesome girl. Here is a picture of her. She was imported from Britan.
