Grayson picked a stick up off the ground. He made sure it didn't have any thorns or anything else that would actually hurt the mare before tapping Tea's rump lightly, just as if the stick were a crop.

Tea finally shakes her head and glances back at the stick, before lifting her feet daintily and steping through the rest of the brush. Jinx grins happily and waves his thanks to Grayson (being unable to be heard over the wind anyway) and hurries to catch up to Juliet and Sabine, just in case they need help. ( [Wink] )

Nike is having a realatively easy time with Giovanni, after the trouble they had earlier.

Alan double-checks behind himself and Knocks to make sure all the kids are in front of him, then leads Knocks through the path.

Jinx calls ahead to Juliet. "Do you need some help?"

Nike and Giovanni are pretty much ok.

Alan and Knocks are more than ok, Alan not having any trouble, and Knocks actually having fun.

Jinx nods, and heads up, taking Sabine's reins. "Here, can you hold her?" he asks Juluet, holding Tea's reins out to her.

Nike watches Grayson, hopin they can stop soon.

Alan's bringing up the tail end of the procession, like usual, Knocks still enjoying himself.

Jinx pats Sabine's neck. "What's the matter? It's not all that bad, really..." He walks forward, still leading Sabine.

Tea looks at Juliet suscpiciously. She turns her head to look at Jinx and whinnies plaintively.

Grayson reached the spot, pulled Pilgrim's halter and lead rope out of the saddle bag, and tied him safely but securely. Jon did pretty much the same thing, and they both removed their saddles, putting them someplace dry.

"There we go," Jinx croons softly, patting Sabine's side as he walks alongside her. Once he gets to the over hang, he helps get Sabine settled before going to get Tea.

Nike sighs in relief as Giovanni jogs hurriedly to join the other horses. After that, Nike has no trouble with getting Giovanni settled in.

Alan and Knocks are at the end of the others. Now comepletely soaked, Alan shakes hair out of his eyes and leads Knocks over to the others.

Annie made sure Peace was safely and securely tied before carrying her gear over to underneath the overhang. She was fairly soaked, having been towards the end of the group.

Grayson strung up a tarp to help keep a bit more rain out of their makeshift shelter.

Nike stands next to Giovanni, trying to use Giovanni to shield him from the wind.

Jinx pats Tea, who is a little jealous that her master's leading another horse.

Alan coughs as a particularly strong blast of wind blows in his face. He rubs his arms, trying to warm up.

Grayson surveyed the situation, knowing they had to get a fire going to get everyone warmed up. But the wind was still too much, they'd have to block it somehow. "Jon, Nike, help me gather some branches, we've got to get a wind block up." Jon nodded, getting to work.

Annie looked around, trying to find something she could do to help.

Juliet stayed with Sabine, the mare seeming a little calmer now as she rubbed her neck, whispering sweet soft nothings in her attentive ear.

Conlan settled Bygone, making sure he was fully settled and calm before striding off to help collect branches.

Grayson worked until the windbreak looked sturdy and big enough. "Ok, now we need firewo-oh great, I hope there's still some dry." he groaned, realizing his mistake.

"I don't think there's any left..." Alan says dejectedly. He looks around, shivering a little bit.

Nike and Jinx head back in with a few more pieces of wood. "What next?" Jinx asks, shaking his head to get the water out, like a dog.
