Addy walked with Panther over to the round pen, noticing some excitement in the barn. Panther was anxious to get into the round pen and started nibbling at Addy's shirt, "Hey now!" she said patting the stallion's massive head. She opened the gate and replaced the lead rope with a lounge line. Panther bolted in and immedeatley started to canter around to the left. " Tuc Tuc Tuc" Addy kissed to him to keep going. He picked up his head, but Addy tugged on the line and he tucked down some. "Atta Boy. Trot now buddy," Addy said to Panther while gently pulling towards his backside. The stallion did as told and he went in to a slow show jog.

Cara just sat deep in the saddle, keeping herself and Chick connected as they rounded a 20 meter circle, though half way through, as 'X', she changed the lateral bend, and move din the opposite direction. Once they came around the following letter, which was 'K', Cara's Left and Right leg motion evened out into one simple squeeze. Her hands rose, and the contact to Chick's mouth was regained, but in a more supple position, rather than the offering she had before, seeing you needed a horse to take the bit, and stretch, more than pull it. Cara's seat seemed to creep to an even deeper position, avoiding the bumps, for she did not allow a jog on her terms, but a strict and more level trot. To warm him up, Cara just began some easy bends in corners, and then 10 meter, to 15 meter circles. As they rounded about, Cara's outer heel kept a more constant and irritating tap, rather than the consistent inner. They gradually moved out of the two circles, ending up on a quarter line. Cara's hands moved back side to each other, as she switched her whip, and looked left, stepping slightly leg, as she applied right leg and rein, keeping him parallel with the walls, as she half halter him ever 2 strides to be sure she was getting a proper half pass. Once that ended, seeing this wasn't an Equitation class, and Dressage diagnole's did not matter, she just began collecting him up, and conserving energy, gradually slowing his trot to a more basic Piaffe. His front and back legs, beginning to rise side by side. Front making a near enough 90 degree angle. But as she tried to avoid to much irritation on her mother's horse, she urged this suspended gait into a Passage. As her reins loosened, and her leg strengthened, trying to keep the same elastic movement, without a sudden jolt, Chick seemed to refuse, and just trotting forward through the bit. This sudden action was suspended, as his jiggy canter was brought to a halt, and they backed up a near 4 or five strides, finishing at a halt nearing 'C' once again.

Cara began applying leg, as her hands raised, continuing to hold the same thumbs up posture, asking for a Piaffe once more, but entering it into a much more difficult position. Without a decent response, Cara's squeeze turned into a kick, and as she has learned with Joker in Dressage training, if the horse does not listening, the kick turn's into a hit with the crop, or a swish with the whip, one to make it count so they chose to listen, rather that to dull out. So with a simple flicked, and a small jump forward, Cara conserved the energy, and brought it back into a Piaffe.

With another 6 seconds of the very slow and debarred gait, Cara then began another attempt at the Passage. She urged him forward with her seat more than her legs this time. Back straightened, heels down, yet creating constant pressure for the time being, until he gave her the necessary response. That reaction came when desired, as the Chick began moving forward. His actions swift and smooth, and with this small amount of trot work he was pulling his share of the deal. A thin layer of travail began gathering among the horses hefty neck, as well as a darkened oval rounding his eyes, and a nice cloud of foam melting from his jaw. That was a good sign, it meant he was softening up, and taking more sue from this workout. Cara praised him with a eased cooing, as they moved the Passage into the corner, and almost immediately, the set aside stimulation was accelerated into a lengthening. Cara just leaned back some, as she allowed him to push into the bit, yet not come above, and her own body to move along with the bounce that was given, the saddle, and fluffy pad absorbing most of the action. Her aids became narrowed down to sustained pressure on his mouth, yet her heels every two strides kept a good squeeze, to keep his hind end working, and a forward and constant motion. As they came within two strides to the finish of the diagnole at 'M', Cara began giving and taking the reins, slowing him down, and positioning her seat to a light and upright alignment.

As they slowed, Cara's inside leg put a much stronger pressure on the girth, as she tightened the left rein, and moved him into a swift canter. It was only a second before she controlled his head back into a proper position, as she stretched him down into the bit, and onto the vertical, not exactly going for roundess, for she wasn't competing in Dressage, but an eventing test they look for a horse who stretches down, to show more suppleness without the force, and to show more obedience, without the tension. So once he applied what she wanted, Cara rode him From the following corner of 'H', looping to 'X', and back to 'F', which was a very simple counter canter. She than rounded him on a two loop serpentine, keeping him with the left lead, which took more left leg, and sterner left rein. And as they finished that, she collected him up, and brought him across the diagonal, her weight shifting right, with right leg, left rein. Once the change of lead was made, she shifted left immediately, with left leg, right rein. This repeated 3 more times, landing them on the right lead. Cara's destination moved from 'A', to 'X'. She moved Chick down the centerline in a some what of a lengthening. They moved to a halt, but she was not finished. She added that annoying right tapping leg, and a stern left, and right rein against his neck. She contained the forward movement into a tight 180 degree turn on the haunches, similar to the reining spins, for the front legs needed to cross, but they still were different, for in Dressage there is more collection and umph to it. So as they halt after three full rounds, Cara soon brought him to a still halt, before lowering her right hand, whip at side, and then her head. She then returned her hand to the bunched reins, and moved him forward, leaning down and giving the now tired horse a good patting. Cara rode him around a half circle, before halting him again, and dismounting, loosening the girth, and running up her stirrups, before continuing to walk him around again. Cara unfastened her helmet bucket, just allowing the dismantled piece to hang, as she began talking:

"He was very cooperative today. At least I thought. Look like any improvement from last time? Even if he isn't a built Dressage horse, don't think I don't look for improvement ride to ride."

Arron felt the arms of his wife wrap around him. Kissing her forehead he smiled "Will do" As she walked to the arena he watched her go. HE smiled to him self as streams of thoughts were running in and out of his head. Seeing Addy down in the pen with her stallion Arron smiled and leaned against a wooden post not to far from the pen but enough to observe them. HE loved Addy just like his daughter even though she was of no relation to them. He watched Addy work with her stallion, he smiled and tipped his hat and turned walking up to mess with his own boys.

Reaching the stallion barn after a small trek. HE was greated by JR and Rico. JR peered his head over the stall and ground his front hoof into the stall door repetadly. As Arrron walked by he gave a firm kick with his leather boot hard against the stall door. Jr layed his ears flat and showed his teeth He stomped and struck out at Arron showing his anger and rebelion. "You wanna play this game lets go for it" he tipped his hat and Grabbed the halter and stud chain that hung on the stall door. Sliding the bolt on the door he entered. Jr rolled his eyes vividly showing the whites of his eyes. Arron laid his hand on the rebelious stallion's neck and slid it up and then latched the rising halter. Latching the halter in place jr, shook his head. "CHILL!" Arron said firmly and Gave a small tug on the lead. Pushing the door open with his foot Arron started to walk out of the door, ready for the challenge Jr was going to present.

Soon after exiting the barn Jr planted his feet and went up daggers flying and he squeled trying to pull loose of Arron's firm grip that held like cement to his lead. With a smirk Arron flicked his lead towards his chest making him back when he fianlly had all fours on the ground. Afterbacking several steps Arron shooed him away and sent Jr around him in a circle, after several circles and reversing Jr finally gave in. "Dont think that is it.. I see you havent been worked at all while i was away" he stated as he led his personal rebel to the unoocupied round pen.

Rylee saddle Desi and made her way to the pen, ready for another ride to wrok on cavles. She wasnt ready for her father, who just came home, to procrastinize her on her cow work. But, he was really for her breakaway and cared, knowing how much she cared about breakaway. Rylee kicked her mare into a trot after a few warm-ups as the mare hung her head low. Rylee watched for her dad, seeing him in the round pen. "Desi, lets do it" shesaid, squeezing, the mare took off around the pen in a run. "Were gonna carry the flag this year at the rodeo, and were gonna practice" Slowing her to a trot, the mare tossed her head and snorted. Rylee patted her head and watched the cow run around as Rylee had just done. Rylee loaded the calf and backed Desi to the corner. The gate popped open and the calf took off.

Syd soon Dismounted Sand Piper, and put him in the cross ties. afer untacking him, and grooming him again, she grabbed a lead and walked him to the pasture he was suposed to be in, she unlocked the gate, and walked in. Unclipping the lead to Sadn Pipers Halter, he trotted off. she closed and latched the gate shut, then walked back into the barn to put her tack away. after putting everything in the correct spot, she got a shovel and a wheelbarrel and begain to pick out the stalls. after picking them out, she went and got saw dust and bedded them all down. as soon as she was done with that, she headed up to the house to get an ice pack for her throbbing shoulder.

Addy stopped Panther, then made him go to the left at a lope. She worked on his headset a little, and worked him at the lope for about five minutes. Then she slowed him some and made him go into a show jog; Panther did this for about twenty minutes. He became a little frisky and began to buck and rear, "Alright Panther, that is enough for today," Addy pulled the stallion close to her and she hooked on the stallion's lead line. Addy walked him to one of the empty paddocks and fumbbled with the gait. Panther was getting impaitient and shook his head violently. Addy opened the gate and tried to unhook the lead line, but wasn't quick enough and Panther gave her a good bite on the palm of her hand, "OW! You dumb animal!" Addy managed to get the lead rope off and smacked Panther on the rump with it. She latched the gait, then headed towards the office bathroom, swearing under her breathe the whole way.

Sarah watched everything the pair did closely looking for anything that really stood out that they needed to work on with Chick. Cara handled the hard headed horse easily and kept him in check the whole time not letting anything bother her or mess up her mood. She listened to what Cara had to say before speaking up and saying, "You handled him perfectly and were not bothered by what would cause many riders to just give up. He has improved a lot since the last time. If only other western riders understood how important it is to have a solid foundation on their horses." She reached out and stroked that gelding's neck who nudged her gently before being walked by Cara. "Here I'll take him if you want to go ride Joker," she offered knowing how important it was for Cara to ride Joker.

Cara seemed to blush slightly as she in a way said she wasn't a person who gave up. She let the horse halt by his mommy, and her own, as she gave him yet another rewarding pat, before just looking at him carefully. It was true, he was much better built the rest of the barrel horses she usually saw, but it may also be him. Naw, it wasn't. It was the hard work he put in to pleasing his mama. Once feeling her grasp slip from the reins, Cara began quickly jerking back thinking Chick was walking away, but he wasn't, instead her mom suggested she rode Joker. She shook her head, disagreeing. She can ride him tonight, and anyways, they needed to get to the other farm to look at the prospects before it became to late. Seeing they also owned horses, they probably wrapped thing up pretty early, since Equestrians rise early for their four legged beasts. So Cara than went on explaining her plan:

"No, I can ride him tonight. It'll be cooler, calmer, and probably good for his nerves to relax. But anyways, now that you say something about barrel racing. When are you planning on going to your next event, err, Rodeo?"

Cara asked, herself wanting to see her mom out in the arena again, running the so well know clover leaf pattern. They should have a four leaved figure. Not only would it mean good luck, but it would also go well with 4-H. Cara soon re-clenched the notched, as well as smooth set of reins, as she pulled them over his head, just standing next to him, and soon making a suggestion:

"Here, let's walk and talk. Just so I don't keep Chick waiting, and pushing his nerves farther than I already have today."

Cara gave a gesture, hoping she'd follow, as she gave the gelding a light tug on the bit, just to encourage him forward. With a moment of hesitation, he soon did decide to walk on as well, just keeping a real mellow pace, his neck stretched out, like he was relaxing it from having so much compression, rather than just going. Cara just walked on, watching her step, and keeping her head down like she always does, looking as if she was deep in thought, and very well may be if you caught her at one of those moments in time. But not now, she was just thinking on the Dressage test her and Joker had to preform, and what steps may become difficult on him, so she can give him less Dressage, seeing he's been working on it so more, and maybe a little more jumping. They needed to sharpen their stadium skills anyways.

Rylee slowed Desi to a walk and smiled, happy that she got releif from it. She hadnt seen dad come in yet, still in the round pen. She stopped the mare and watched the calf. "I'll get you" she said and kicked her mare to go and watched as the calf stared at her. Rylee moved the mare into a canter and the calf moved, Rylee and the mare following the young calf.

Sarah rubbed the soft painted head and looked into the deep eyes that seemed to hold so much. She was caught off guard when her daughter spoke to her and just nodded opening the gate for her daughter to exit the ring leading Chick. She walked alongside her daughter in silence for a moment then spoke up, "We can head over any time you're ready. If you don't mind untacking Chick and putting him in his stall and opening the door so he can go into his adjoining paddock. I don't want any of the family having to mess with him while were gone. I need to go talk to your father for a minute." Before Cara could answer, she gave Chick's shoulder a pat then walked off toward where her husband was with one of the stallions.

"Can you watch the farm while Cara and me go to the breeding farm about 15 minutes and look at some two and three year olds?" Sarah asked standing her distance knowing how unpredictable the stallion her husband was working with was.

Syd Grabbed the bag of ive and threw it over her shoulder. she then walked back out of the house and out to the outdoor ring, where Rylee was. "she is lookin good" She yelled as they cantered by. she watched as her sister chased after the little calf.

she sat on the edge of the rail and watched carfuly. she always wondered what it was like to rope, and get to gallop down a ring, instead of trying to look elegant.

Sarah happened to hear Rylee yelling something from the arena and she shook her head. "I'll be back in a minute," she told Arron before setting off on foot toward the arena. She saw Rylee aboard her roping horse and Syd sitting on the fence. "What is going on, girls?" she said in a voice that showed them she was irritated.

Rylee looked back to see her mom and roatated the mare so she could see her. "Syd..." she started. "Is proctastinzing my roping and made me miss the calf.." she replied. "Im working hard so I can go to the rodeo this saturday, which reminds me." she added. "I want to join the rodeo team at school" she said as her mare lowered her head and stood still

"Okay. Syd since you have nothing to do all the feed buckets in the main barn need to be scrubbed out. Rylee we'll talk about joining the rodeo team later and please try to be nice and accept a little criticism," Sarah said in her calm tone that she normally used. She watched Rylee's horse for a minute then spoke again, "Rylee, I noticed one thing. Your horse isn't breaking from the box cleanly. Practice letting the calf go a few times and you staying in the box so she learns to wait for your cue."

"mom... you, dad and syd do it to!" she replied, backing the mare up. "I know its supposed to help me get better, but it makes me worse" she added, climbing off the mare. "If people keep criticizing me, Im not got rodeo anymore" she said and started to lead the mare into the middle of the ring.

"Rylee, Criticism helps you become better even if you don't realize it at first. If you stop rodeoing it means less money we spend so go ahead if you want to," Sarah said trying to keep her voice steady. Her last statement she made was to make Rylee stop her attitude and think about what she was saying. "Oh yeah once you finish with your mare, you can help Syd clean the feed buckets," she said turning around and walking off before Rylee could object.

OOC| Beware, this is not spellchecked, and was written in massive hurry!

BIC|

Cara gave off a nod, as she watched her mom pick up speed, and move off to the office. Cara on the other hand, just stayed behind, allowing Chick to take his time as they loligagged back over to the stallion barn. Upon entry, she was greeted with her Jokie's soft whicker of consent, even if he wasn't happy with her riding other horses, he learned to deal with the issue. So Cara just continued on, as she walked Chick down a bit further, to the ties near his stall, before bringing him to a halt. Cara gave him yet anothe rpat, before she began unfastening the buckles of the Pelham bridle. Once each buckle was undone, she than slowly lowered the bridle out of his mouth, trying her best to guide the bits out without killing his teeth. And so things went smoothly, as he dropped the bits from his mouth, and just allowed Cara to slip the leathe rhalter back over his head. She then rmoved the reins, and hooked him up to the cross ties before walking around to his side and undoing the girth.

With a touch of hurridness to her normal rounds, Cara was soon able to have him completely untacked, so she made the large trip to the tack room. Cara tossed the saddle pad and four polo's into the dirty pile, while settleing her saddle, and covering it with the blue and yellow saddle cover. She then washed the bit, and soon returned the bridle and girth back to it's proper holder. Cara than returned to the aisle, finding Chick just pawing away, waiting for his treat. So she jusoffered him half a carrot now, and the other half for later.

Soon enough, she had lead him outside, and hosed his saddle spot, leg, and neck down. She then sweat scaped him quickly, before returning him to the barn, and walking him into the stall. While in there, holding him in the halter still, Cara opened up the inner doors to allow him to his outdoor chute as well. Soon enough, She turned him back around, and removed the halter and shank, before exiting the stall. Cara closed the door, and locked it securly as she hung the halter and shank back up in their rightful position, before just dumping the other half of the carrot into the feed bin, before turning off on her heel, just turning on the water and watering the empty buckets until her mom was ready to go.

OOC| So sorry, Red came on.. And I havn't talked to her in forever! So lie! BAH! Quick icky post, sorry!!!!

Arron had saddled JR and had trotted over to the out door arena. "Rylee" he called before she disapeered into the barn "I know you think I am evil and critizing you and hte Funny thing I hated critism when I was your age to. Even if it seems like I was never your age I was. Now to make the critism even I'll let you critize me on my run... This way you also get a better perspective on what we could all learn and you'll get pick on your ol pops" he had slowed Jr down and halted near the gate. Where he bent over and pulled the lever opening it. Nudging Jr into a walk he turned him on his hocks when he got in and shut the gate. Picking up a trot he pushed the calf into the chute. "Ready to critizize?" he asked as he backed Jr into the box...

ooc: ok well I posted where I had my horse out so I will continue with that...here I go!

Bic:

Sarah and her steed stood upon a hill. She nudged timmy into a slow walk making her way into the jumping ring. As they arrived Sarah asked Timmy to bump into a trot. The willing horse did as she asked. A ripple of his silhouette laced the sky. Mane tossing with every step. Sarah encouraged him into a canter, and he did as he was instructed to. Nostrils barely opened and orbs widened. Sarah turned Timmy into a Cross rail, setting him up just right they made the jump. A smile rose on Her face as she was impressed. The pair looked like champions as they took several more jumps.

As Cara just kind of walked around the barn, visiting her horse, as well as other's, not wanting to put much pressure on her mom, though they were wasting daylight. So as she just stood in front of the white board, reading all that was left, gave a sigh of relief, thankful her day was done, since she's already been doing most of the work today while everyone else had taken their time running off like little kids again, just to ride their horses. Sure, riding was important, but their care was even more important, especially when it relied on there money, this being a breeding farm and all. So as she stood reading it over, the occasional jump as the board just flew up and down while the gust of wind blew beneath it, Cara stood still, and quiet, enjoying the piece. But it was to soon as a disturbance came ringing in her ears, and once her sister had told herself to finish the night, Cara just stood for a moment. Did she really just tell her that she was done? What did she do, ride her horse all day? Oh Cara was fumed. As her sister walked out, Cara's fists began clenching, as she turned on her heel, narrowing her eyes, ready to attack the prey, and take her down. So as you would know, it wasn't long before she was standing directly behind her.

Trying to release the anger a bit by holding the moment, Cara tapped on her shoulder, and it was quite obvious that she was pissed. She scowled toward the girl, as she tapped on her shoulder, before forcibly moving around. Her head shook in disgust, before she took a deep breathe, eyes closing for a moment, as she began her own retort, to what her sister so rudely said earlier within the confines of the stable:

"No uh, I don't think so! I bust my butt around this farm for you to ride you horse all day? You are not done! You can finished what dad asked you to finish tonight! NOT MY JOB!"

Wanted to strangle her, she just gave her the motion before swiftly turning off, and just moving away at a quick pace, but not of fear of her father's response, or any rude remark, but to avoid injuring her ignorant little sister, so off she went, heading in the direction of the truck, just giving the idea she was ready to leave. Now.

As Rylee turned around to hear her sister talk to her, she loked at the ground, then over to her dad. "cant right now dad..." she said, knowing how her sisters voice. She turned around and walked into the barn, starting on the barn chores. Altough her sister Cara was bigger than her, She was also older than Rylee. Rylee moved a gelding out of a stall and began barn clean-up. She mucked up the stall and went to grab the whell barrel, then ccame back and began to fill it. She wasnt even going to dare reply to her sister cara.

Sarah finished the course. Taking a deep breath and patting Timmy's hot neck. Walking him on to cool him down a bit. Timmy gave a snort as he trudged along the grassy hill. Sarah came close to the barn, she woaed timmy and dismounted. Slipping the reins over his head, she gathered the leather in her hands. Taking timmy back into the grooming stall, Sarah cross-tied him. Loosing the girt and putting the sturrips. She slipped it off taking it to the tack room. Laying the saddle on the rack and laying the pad on top of it. Coming back to her buddy, she took his bridle off. As the halter was still there Sarah slipped it on his head. Unclipping the ties she pulled him out with his bridle up on her arm. Looking around she saw Cara and Syd. Seeing how they looked she didn't murmmur a word. Pulling the latch on Timmy's stall ,the door swung open. Timmy went into his stall, and a slip of the halter and he was free. Giving him a quick pat,she left the stall and latched it. Her steps quick as she made her way back into the tack room, hanging the bridle. Thinking for a moment she grabbed things for her muck.
