Sam had been up since 5:30 this morning. She awoke, showered and had a muffin. She headed to the barn and was sitting on Andy's back out in his run for hours, just talking to him and bonding. She adored him and he wasn't the same horse when she wasnt riding him. They meshed and she wouldnt trade him for her own horse anyday. As she looked to her cell phone, checking the time she realized she had to go to the hall and was a bit late. She slid off the bay geldings back and gave him a kiss on the muzzle, being returned by a nuzzle and a soft nose pressed against her forehead. "Bye baby boy, I'll be back to ride you later" she said, stroking his nose and heading out and toward the barn.

When she reached the barn she headed upstairs to the Main hall and took a seat as Rylee began to speak.

- - - - --

Kayley awoke slightly late, she had a small breckfast as always and headed to the barn. Saying a quick hello to Chess she gave him his grain and made her way upstairs to the hall, taking a seat in an empty chair with the other girls. She figured this was probably about the show coming up and she was interested in hearing what would be said. She just wanted to take Chess out for a good ride and work on last minute touch ups.

- - - - - - -

Rylee jogged up the stairs after spending time with Ghost in her stall. Ghost was her pride and joy and she loved to spend her mornings with the grey mare. She walked into the hall that was up and through the lounge above the arena.

"Alright ladies, hope your all awake, here is the game plan" she said in a loud but happy voice as she walked into the hall and looked to them.

"We have the Maclay finals in about 2 weeks, what are we going to do?.." she said as she paused "we are going to train these next couple of days, pack up and head over there, practice there a week and then show them what Bluegrass is made of" She said with a clap of her hands. "Train today, train tomorrow and pack, go about your usual rituals and we'll load up wednesday, today is monday, and head out. Sound like a plan?" she asked as she looked to all the girls. "If anyone has concerns, wants to know more or anything let me know, You all will have a lesson tomorrow at 11am by the way" she stated.

- - - - - -

Jayde looked to the girls. "Alright, game plan, we have a lesson today, so after this meeting you all will tack up and meet me out in the grass jumper ring" she started "Tomorrow you have to yourselves to do as you please with your horse and we will be heading out after the rig is loaded up and ready. We have to do our best at this show and make the Fox haven name known" she said happily/

"Any concerns? questions? topics to bring up?" she asked them

Adalia woke up with a groan as some weird music came blaring out of her stereo, which meant her brother had touched it again. Adalia slammed her hand down on the snooze button she got up with a growl. Slowly rolling out of bed and landing on her feet she walked out into the hallway and when she walked past her brother's door, she kicked it open. He laid there still sound asleep, lightly snoring. Walking over to his alarm clock she set it to go off in another 10 minutes and then turned the volume up. "That will teach you." She mumbled and walked out of his room and to the bathroom to get ready.

30 minutes later Adalia walked out of the bathroom, still laughing. Her brother's alarm had gone off scaring him half to death. Walking down stairs she saw that she was late for the barn and just ran out the door not bothering to eat. She got to the barn and said a quick 'hi' to Syn and gave him his grain. Walking quickly into the room, she sat in the back, as to not disturb the meeting that was taking place. They talked about the up coming finals and Adalia got all excited. First of all, she loved horse shows and showing Syn. Second she loved to kick Blue grass's butt.

Adalia nodded her head and when no concerns or questions where made she walked out into the hallway and got all of Syn's tack then began to brush him down and saddle him up. He just stood there with a look of boredom as she tacked him, never nervous when she was with him.

Dawna looked from her sister as her mother spoke aloud. "We should take out matching blankets" she said, speaking of the horses blankets for the trip. "then, we will take my Ipod and a CD, just in case we don't want to listen to the others" she laughed, maybe a little to loud. Dawna always had to talk or whisper while her mother was, or someone. As outgoing as she was, she couldn't keep quiet.

jayde looked to Dawna and made a hush motion. "Alright everyone, head out, and get ready for a lesson, I will be waiting in the outdoor arena in an hour and a half." she stated as she exited the hall and down into her office.

Danee looked to her sister and nodded. "Yea, i think our sheets are in the house" she said as her mom left. She got up and stretched then walking out to go to Rocket's stall. The gelding was outside, munching on strands of hay that was left from his breckfast. "C'mon mr hungry hungry hippo" she laughed as the gelding came walking up to her. She slipped the leather halter over his ears and led him into the barn then into cross ties. She made her way to the locker room where she pulled out a black brush box with organized brushs inside and carried it back to Rocket. She took her time brushing him, his coat started to gleam, since they had so long before their lesson. Rocket closed his eyes and wiggled his upper lip as she curried over his favourite spots.

Adalia finished tacking up and had a while before anyone would be up in the arena. Adalia figured that she could wrap his legs for the heck of it, she took off Syn's boots and grabbed her green and pink polo wraps and wrapped his legs. His front legs where pink and green and so where his back legs. "Well I guess I could head up and walk you for a little bit." Adalia said out loud and walked past Rocket's stall. Stopping to chat since she had nothing better to do and her and Danee got along pretty good. "Rocket's looking really good, Danee." She said and looking at the massive horse that was enjoying his grooming.

Dawna had made it to with her sister shortly after the meeting had happened. She looked over to see Adalia talking to her sister. Dawna never really found Adalia to interesting. She looked to her geldings hindquarters who was just a few inches from Adalia and walked to his hindquarters, pushing them into Adalias side. She peeked out from his hindquarters. "Oops, sorry, didn't you there" she stated. Only thing she hoped was her mom wasn't walking in or standing there, since her back was to the barn doors. Her gelding snorted, tossing his head.

Adalia felt something shove her forward causing her to stumble. Syn pinned his ears and lunged after Pepper, catching him on the hand end. "Hey!" Adalia yelled and backed up Syn quickly before Pepper could do anything to Syn. Glaring at Dawna, Adalia checked Syn to make sure he was alright, when she saw he was she turned and returned to glaring at Dawna. "Watch where your going." Adalia said, more concerned about her horse than anyone else. She would have been pissed if Syn got hurt, at the moment he had his ears still back and was staring at Pepper.

Danee looked up after reaching for Rocket's saddle pad and throwing it over his back. "Thanks Adalia, Syn is looking awesome too!" she said happily. She loved when people commented on Rocket, it made her bubble since he was pretty scraggly when she first got him. She watched her sister come up and rolled her eyes. "Dawna mom would slaughter you if she saw that" she said. "And no fighting girls" she said, trying to mock her mothers voice. She smiled as she finnished tacking up Rocket and then getting her self ready with her GPA helmet and her leather gloves.

Jayde filed some paper work and heard the girls vaguely. She ignored it as soon as it stopped for a bit and started to design the course for today. She printed it out and slid it into the clear cover and placed it at the end of her desk. She organized her desk, which had piled up with stuff. Checking the clock she knew she had some time yet till she was to meet the girls in the ring. She got up, grabbed the course and grabbed two of the stable hands. She handed them the course and they knew to go set it up and place the course on the fence so the girls could read it and go jump. Jayde tried to make their last lessons much like a show, she sat in the judge booth they had on the ring and after she helped the girls warm up and memorize the course she sat in it, watching them and critiquing after.

"Well, your so short I wouldn't have seen you. You shouldnt stand at a horses hindquarters" she said. Pepper, felling the bit, Squeeled and stomped his front feet, jumping forwards into the Panels and backing up, lots of Chaos noise. "Adalia!" she shouted. "You could have hurt him good lord." she said, walking quickly to her geldings head and rubbing his head. "you're a freakin jerk, Adalia" she said. she looked to her sister. "Well, mom isn't here anyways" she added.

"Maybe you should watch where you put your horse." Adalia snapped back, ignoring the comment about her being short. It wasn't her fault she was only 5'4", Adalia began petting Syn's nose trying to calm him. "Oh a trip with you is going to be a ball." Adalia said sarcastically and walked out smiling apologetically at Danee and completely ignoring Dawna. Her and Dawna never did get along that well and that little incident wasn't going to help things. On Adalia's list of things to do for the trip, number 1) avoid Dawna.

Danee rolled her eyes and waved to Adaila "Dawn cut it out I know you two dont get along but really" she said as she led Rocket out to the ring. Jayde heard the commotion and only looked to each girl with a warning glance. The jumps were set up.

"Girls go into the ring and start warming up on the flat" she stated. She kept the course hidden till they were ready.

[eh, short, where is everyone else?]

Adalia walked Syn up the ring, well more she walked and he pranced behind her. Syn was excited to be riding and it always seemed like he knew when they were going to get ready for something. "I am going to smack you." Adalia said in a power-holding voice and Syn stopped his prancing, Adalia gave him a pat and then checked her saddle and tack before mounting up and asking him to walk. At the walk she asked for flexion and then to move his hind quarters to and away from the rail, making sure his back end was listening.

After walking for a while she asked for a collected trot and did circles and serpentines, making sure not to get in the way of the other working riders. After her last circle she asked for a canter and went once around the ring, before allowing Syn to walk the rest of the time before they were to jump. At the canter he had gotten out his bucks and excitement so he would be easier to handle.

OOC: sorry guys, sorry! I'll just jump in where everyone else is. . .

BIC:

Emily carried Esme's tack to her stall, not feeling like being around the other girls. The mare stood quietly in her stall, untied, as Emily quickly groomed her and slapped some black Eskies on her. The saddle pad, also black, was embroidered with Esme's show name in red thread.

As Emily tightened the girth, Esme gave her a dirty look and swished her tail. Emily rolled her eyes and patted her shoulder.

"You're real tough, aren't you?" she asked, pulling on her gloves and then her CO.

Esme sighed, as though her life was just a terrible strain, and looked away.

Emily slipped the bridle over Esme's head. She happily accepted the D-ring french link, chomping and drooling as Emily adjusted the noseband until it was straight.

Emily led her out of the barn, and mounted up once outside it, riding to the ring. The mare was fairly calm today, walking on the buckle. Emily opened and closed the gate still on horseback. The other girls were already warming up.

Starting out at the walk, Emily let Esme loosen up her back. Once the mare felt fairly warmed up, she picked up the trot, still on a loose rein, letting Esme stretch forward and downward. She trotted a short amount either direction, and then did the same thing in the canter, finishing with a stretchy circle at the trot. Coming back down to the walk, she asked the mare for a little haunches in, and then a little shoulders in. A few steps of half pass either direction, and then she picked up the canter, asking Esme to collect. After a moment of fussiness, she did so. She's being incredibly good, Emily thought.

She asked the mare for a flying change, and she responded by bucking and bolting, shooting past the other horses. Emily stayed calm and let her throw her tantrum, and then quietly asked Esme to come back down to a normal canter. Esme tossed her head, yanking hard on the reins, and began bouncing. Emily corrected her a little harder this time, and the mare shied sideways, skyleaping again.

Emily sighed. Back to normal, then.

Emily let Esme continue skyleaping and bucking for another second, and then sat deep and half-halted the mare. Esme came to a standstill, snorting and quivering. Emily asked her to pick up the canter, and Esme did so without batting an eye. They did several nice, calm flying changes, and then Emily let the mare walk on a loose rein. Esme grabbed the bit and yanked her head down as far as possible, a drama queen, as always.

Danee walked rocket out to the ring where he proceeded to prance and half rear the whole way which resulted him in a whip across the chest with her crop "Cut it out, your not a stud" she said as she walked to the ring and hopped on. She asked him to walk forward and asked him to walk on a loose rein to start. He took advantage of this and lowered his head. When she felt as though he was warmed up she asked for a trot, asking him to supple, collect and round up. Moving into a canter she lapped the ring twice and trotted. "Good boy" she said patting him. She didnt want him to get to tired.

- - -

Jayde looked to the girls from the booth "excellent, when you girls are ready to jump, start over the x rail on the quarter line and do that both ways twice then take the purple grid twice. The purple grid consisted of all verticals, one bounce to a two stride set at about 2ft and ending at 2'3 to start. "Once you have done that and feel ready we wills start on our course" she called.

Dawna entered the ring as well, climbing on her grey gelding, Pepper and asking for a walk. Pepper raised his tail up, looking to the other horses, then snorted. "Oh, please.." she said, turning him in a tight circle, then loped off. Normally, Dawna paid a lot of attention when in the ring, but she has her days where she wanted to do what she wanted. Easy, right? Well, today was one of those days. Skylar pressed her leg into the gelding and sidepassed down the front of the arena, then slowed to a trot and looked to her mom, then her sister, moving into a walk.

Lauryn listened to what Rylee had to say about the Maclay quietly. A slight bit of butterflies tortured her stomach as the trainer talked about packing up and loading--this was what she'd worked for her whole life, and it was here. She sat in her chair for a few minutes after Rylee finished speaking, mostly just to wake herself up and to finish her coffee. Ten minutes later she had come down to Ike's stall with his tack. She gently put the saddle and bridle on the rack on the wall, then brought her horse out to tack up. He stood patiently in the crossties as she ran the curry and dandy brush over his sleek coat, then picked his hooves out.

After tacking him up, she led him to the outdoor to school him. The jumps were still set up from the previous night, so she didn't bother changing them. She climbed the mounting block steps, and swung lightly onto his back.

-------------

Alexis was immediately up and downstairs to say goodmorning to and tack Paradise, the barn's lesson horse that she rode, up. His stall was at the other side of the barn from Ike's, which was always a good thing for Alexis--even though she and Lauryn were teammates, they'd never really gotten along that well, and keeping their distance was a good thing.

After she finished tacking him up, she walked him to the outdoor. Lauryn had already been out there for a few minutes and was in the process of cantering Ike. Alexis waited for her to pass the entrance, then walked Paradise to the mounting block and swung deftly up. He started off at a walk, and she let him on a loose rein while she got her stirrups and adjusted her reins.

Adalia looked at the jumps and collect Syn up, asking him to trot once around the arena to make sure he was warmed up and asked for the canter. "Jump." She said loudly, so everyone knew not to cut her off. Syn pricked his eyes and shortened his strides, Adalia counted silently to herself and a stride before the jump asked for a little more, Syn launch off with his back end and cleared to jump perfectly, landing on the other side as though the jump was nothing. Circling the ring once again she approached the jump, "Jump." She called again, doing the same as the time before. Syn launched again and this time landed in a buck, taking off. Adalia pulled him to a halt and back him 30 steps quickly. "Knock it off." She demanded and he lowered his head, going back into a working trot.

Danee collected Rocket and after a buck and head toss he went to work. She aimed him at the first jump and he jumped it weakly, not really trying on this low stuff. He then picked himself up when it got more interesting and got a bit strong. She held him together and asked him to pick up and move. After completing the warm up she asked him to walk as she waited for the other girls to run the warm up before the stable hands set up the course.

- - -

Jayde stood in the middle of the ring, not giving much feed back at this round, once the girls went through the course like it was a show she would go up to each rider and discuss it, and make sure they understood what could be better for their next go around.

OOC- then maybe we should just have one team... Who knows, lol

BIC- Dawna moved into a collected canter, Pepper using his hindquarters. Dawna headed for the first jump, made it with flying colors and headed to the cavaletii, popping over it easily. Pepper lowered his head, enjoying this workout. He loved jumping and nothing made this geldings day better. "Danne!" Dawna called, looking over to her sister

OOC: I noticed, I dont know where everyone went. Hmm maybe we'll just have Foxhaven and change the plot up a little so instead of being stuck in the wild with the opposite team your stuck together to test your loyalty to each other?

BIC: Danee had just jumped over the required fences when she heard her name called "Huh..What Dawn?" she asked as she gave Rocket a half halt and asked him to transition down to walk and gave him rein, they were warmed up and as soon as everyone was they would begin their make shift show.

OOC- PERFECT INDY!

BIC- Dawn looked to her sister, then to Adalia. "ok.." she looked back to her sister. "Your not siding with Adalia... are you?" she asked quietly, looking in their mothers direction, then to her sister once again.
