Do You Have A Stallion?

Recommended Posts

Wow has this summer been busy. We have been out and about with our stud Dun Of Impact. At the Iowa USTRC Championship we placed 7th out of 250 teams, won some jack pots, and this last week after 3 years of not showing quarter horse we went back and came home with 4 points. In October we are heading to the USTRC Finals in OK City. For the 2011 Show year we want to qualify him for th AQHA World Show. It looks like we won't be slowing down anytime soon. LOL! Here is a picture of my boy over in Iowa.

Did not show her this year, after the whole rearing thing, then the finger amputation thing... but she IS coming along nicely now that she's been in Solitary, lol!

Here's one of Jess working with her on desensitizing.

Hey Red! She looks great.... Screams heel horse to me. LOL! But her Daddy is doing really well on barrels too! After just a week on the pattern I took him to a fun show and all I wanted was a good clean run, not worried about winning... He clocked an 18.23 and we weren't even running. I was more than happy with that time. I'm still working him on the pattern. Hoping to hit some barrel races this winter.

I love her dark bay color!

LOL, Awesome!

Wellllll, if I decide to rope off her, I guess I better learn how to heel, huh? Jesse's getting excited to start her next year, told him he can do allllll the ground work he wants, but if I catch him getting on her before next July or so, he's not going to have a butt to sit on, lol! She's already 14hh. at the butt.

How old was Jr before you guys started roping off him?

We started the basics when Jr was a late 3 yr old. Box training, track steers, swing a rope, just throwing a rope, dragging barrels around, that kind of stuff. The spring of his 4 yr old year we started his real roping training.
