ooc: just a heads up, i'll be away from the computer for the majority of the night and not be able to reach one.

Sabine

It was only a matter of about ten minutes, or what seemed of it, before Sabine could comprehend what was about to happen a sudden squeal set of the first warning before the ambush commenced. Feeling the force of another person thier arms engulfing her in a warm and enticing embrace. Without even looking to see who had side tackled her, Sabine new exactly who was the attacker. Emily. Even though her sudden burst had come from out of oblivion the force of contact could have knocked anyone that was not prepared resulting them down on thier hands and knees. For Sabine that was not the case, she had refrained from moving as Emily took hold around her petiet figure, not even her hair had seemed to have no altercation. Giving hug in return to one of her friends, she graciously got to her feet from the couch in which she previously sat on. Sabine defenantly didn't want any other sudden hug attack that she wouldn't be aware of. "Hey!" she greeted kindly hearing the name she had used. Emily was the first one who conjured up the cutsie nickname, which Sabine tolerated.

Everting her train of glance from Emily to Shawnie who had just entered the estate and her meek smile that had once been on her features had promptly vanished. Even as Shawnie attempted to conceal the black eye with her blonde tresses, and from what Sabine could clearly notice, a blanket of what seemed of concealer. Clearly it didn't surpass. Sabines face was emotionless, except for her eyes that penitrated Shawnie of lividness and demanding question. That gaze, alone, would send someones skin crawling, nearly nothing could get past Sabine and she would demand to know answers sooner or later. Knowing Shawnie, she would brush it off for the sake of disposing anything that could deal with that subject. With her eyes still staring Shawnie down, Sabine knew she would corner her and ask her when out of earshot of the other ears. Finally releasing her vision from Shawnie, her attention divided taking in all the new,and familiar, faces she had seen last summer. One thougt that seemed to linger in her mind, not seeing the face before her, of her friend Dean. Where was he? Surely he would arrive soon. Dean was not the late type.

----------

Dean

For what seemed like an eternity, the young man exited the terminal relieved of the countless hours that he had spent aboard the plane. Thankfully he had some shut eye while taking the long trip to the carribean from England. It was an exhausting journey but very well tolerable because of the single thought of the beach. Coming from england being that his father traveled back and forth numerous times from the states and to the UK, and had journeyed with him almost everywhere. Finding his belongings he briskly weaved himself through the bustling crowd, almost colliding with a girl who seemed to be more interested in him rather than the collision. Brushing it off, with the look of slight dissapointment in the girls eyes, Dean found the cab that would take him to this estate that Sabine had told him. He coudn't turn down the offer of joining Sabine at this paradise as it would be a nice break from the UK for the summer.

Running his fingers through his dark burnette hair, he got into the cab that woul shuttle him off where Sabine, and her friends, were located. It was only a matter of about thirty minutes before the cab halted suddenly, almost knocking Dean off his seat and onto the back of the passenger seat. Re-adjusting himself, Dean exited his light green eyes consuming all the lush vegitation that surrounded the classy looking estate that stood before him. Taking his luggage from the cab driver, and with a "thanks", set foot across the building almost getting lost before he heard a sudden commotion coming from the room just ahead. Figuring that was where everyone was gathering, Dean quickened his pace soon joining the rest of the growing crowd, placing his property of bags where others had placed hers. Not soon after he did so Deans eyes soon landed on Sabine who was already chatting with her girls, and he smiled at the sight of her already glad to see her again.

--

Welcome to the Caribbean! The click of the flight attendant hanging up the microphone along with gentle rolling of the plane along the runway woke Peyton from her nap. "Ow," slender fingers rubbed her neck as she lifted her head from Chase's shoulder, attempting to work out the cramp.

Chase laughed at her, moving her long, dark curls that clung to his shirt. The two made light talk as they waited to leave the plane but Peyton wasn't paying too much attention to the conversation. She was too focused on her excitement. It had been forever since she'd hung out with any of her friends and this vacation was just what she wanted and needed. Dark blue eyes focused on Chase and she wondered how her friends would take to him. He was charming, a complete southern gentleman and frat guy. The two had met at the beginning of the year and were drawn to each other. It hadn't taken long before they were nearly inseperable. The catch? They'd never hooked up or even shared a single kiss. They were best friends and that was it. Peyton knew Chase could be quite the charmer, she'd watched him hurt girl after girl and was a little nervous that one of her friends would fall for his ice colored eyes and bright smile.

Of course, Peyton had over packed, so Chase helped her carry her bags to the cab. The drive to the house took what felt like forever. The warmth of the island was a nice change from the cool Georgia winter. Although Georgia didn't exactly have the harshest winters, it wasn't exactly shorts and t-shirt weather. As the cab pulled up to the house, Peyton didn't even wait for the car to come to a complete stop before she leaped out and ran inside.

Chase paid the driver and with his help, unloaded all their belongings and headed inside the house. He'd never been to the Caribbean before, so he accepted Peyton's invitation with no hesitation, even though he had been her back up. The brunette had been dating one of Chase's best guy friends until recently, when Tyler had broken up with Peyton and started daing a new girl a few days later. Chase knew how devastated the girl had been, she'd spent hours with him, upset about the break up. Chase also knew how stubborn Peyton was and how she hated letting others see how hurt she was.

"Hiiiiii!" Peyton practically squealed as she flew in the front door. Flip flops were held in hand, she loved being barefoot and the warm, tropical weather was perfect for it. She tackled her friends in hugs, not caring at all about the various guys in the room or the fact that she'd left Chase outside.

Chase shook his head, hearing Peyton's squeal. He placed their belongings near the others and made his way towards the group. Ice colored eye looked over the other girls. He had always found Peyton absolutely beautiful, even though she would deny it all day long, and her friends were all far from ugly. A small smile played on his lips, this vacation had potential.

OCC: I will be active, but you might only get a post or two from me a day for about the next two weeks, except on my days off. I'm in the middle of packing for my move to MT, and working full time.

Being stuck on the plane for roughly 13 hours made Shiloh seriously want to hurt people. Her sky blue eyes stayed plastered to the window as she tried to hold a solid thought process. She had yet to succeed, between listening to the faint hint of Colin’s ipod playing music, the babbling baby three rows back, the toddler who threw a screaming fit when his mom tried to make him actually sit in his seat, the old guy sitting directly in front of her who sounded like a freight train mixed with a dieing cat. Not to mention the butterflies in her stomach. She was ecstatic to see the girls, she missed them all so much. To her it was amazing that they all had remained friends after high school and now all lived so far apart and lead very different lives yet they all still remained close. Or so she hoped.

Shiloh was shook back to reality when the plane touched ground. Stretching she listened to the captain bumping Colin. “Hey sleepy we’re here” she spoke quietly after pulling one of his earphones from his ear.

````
Colin wasn’t sure why he was even coming, besides his best friend dragging him along without a choice. In some aspects he minded being taken to an island without knowing anyone but her, in others he didn’t. He had no plans, didn’t start his job for another couple months, and he was a decent looking guy, in his opinion, on an island full of girls. How could he not somewhat enjoy that. He’d slept most of the 13 hours with his ipod shoved in his ears drowning out whatever plane chaos was going on around him.
“HEY!” he growled suddenly all the noise he worked so hard to drown out, flooded his ears. Looking at Shiloh then around he smiled “Wow it’s gorgeous here” he said leaning over her to look out the window, waiting for her to shove him out of the way. He had a tendency to be a bit on the obnoxious side at times.
````

Within about a half hour they were dropped off in front of a stunning house. Standing outside Shiloh looked up the stairs and towards the door. The breeze whipped her chocolate brown hair around her face, the familiar welcoming feeling filled her 5’6 125lb figure with joy, happiness, utter excitement and thrill. Shiloh turned looking at Colin “Ready for the best month of your life?” she grinned playfully. Slinging her brown and purple plaid bag over her shoulder she darted up the stairs and towards the house. Going to knock on the door but it pushed open as her knuckles touched it. Storm was the first person she seen. She and Storm went back a ways. They’d grown up next door to each other and played together from the time they were old enough to sit up. They were inseparable and had such a tight knit bond it was crazy they managed to function without each other.

`````
Colin just watched her with his hazy green eyes. Running his hand through his ash brown hair he laughed and followed her “Yeah whatever you say princess” he grinned watching her evaluate the group of women they walked in on. Seeing a few other guys, he was glad to know he wasn’t the only male here and he wouldn’t be out numbered by estrogen.
*Wow has it been a while. They will get better with time... this should be interesting to see how we all are after we dust, oil and polish our rping skills. :)
Storm was almsot deleriously happy. She'd practically mauled all of her friends when she saw them. Bouncing excitedly where she stood, she took in the scene, now that she'd settled down enough to actually look. It appeared that all of the girls had brought a guy along. Grinning to herself, she thought, this could be interesting... It was good fro Leo, she was glad he'd have someone to hang out with that wasn't female.
When she heard Shiloh's voice, she turned and jumped up and down. "Shiloh!" She yelled, racing for her friend and embracing her in a tight, excited hug. " Oh my goodness, I'm so happy to see you! Have you met Leo? You'll have to mee Leo later! How have you been? We haven't talked in forever!"
The words all came out in one long breath, only stopping when she had to actually breathe. They had been trying to e-mail each other regularly, but life had kind of gotten in the way. While she loved all of her friends, she'd always been closest to Shiloh. Possibly because their parents had introduced them at a young age, but probably because they complimented each other so well.
________________
Leo watched patiently while Storm moved excitedly around the room. With one last glance at the girl with the blackened eye, he moved away and went to stand near Chase, well out of the way of the chaos caused by the women.
"Sometimes I wonder how they don't make themselves hoarse doing all that yelling" he commented, his eyes still watching Storm, but the words were directed at Chase. "I'm Leo" he added
Kaylee hugged the girls one by one and beamed as she saw them all again. Her slim, fit figure moved around the small cluster of girls. She wore an orange hollister tank top and short jean shorts. She finally kicked off her black flip flops because the clacking was driving her crazy. She looked to wear Logan was and noticed him back by the wall as he stood by the rest of the guys. She turned around and looked to Shawnie, pushing her bangs away from her eye and looking to her with a raised eyebrow. Never put it past Kaylee to notice the details, hidden or not. She didn't want to be the wet blanket on this happy mood so she simply gave her an extra hug and looked around to the other girls trying to see who was here and who wasn't.
---
Logan let Kaylee go off and reunite with her girls as he leaned on the wall with the rest of the guys and their luggage. "It feels like we're in a fancy monkey house at feeding time right now..." he said to whoever was listening. He had, had a rollercoaster of a day with his feelings already today. He knew it was hinting at what the rest of the summer would be but he didn't really care, when it was good he was on cloud nine, when it was bad he just kicked himself and moved on. He could get any girl he wanted, but for some reason he felt a connection with Kaylee and he couldn't let it go.
Logan watched the people come into the house, hauling in luggage and bags and men with fancy purses carried between their thumb and index finger and held at the length of their arm, soon to be tossed to the floor or the nearest couch when they arrived in the room. He looked around at the girls again trying to picture himself with any of them besides Kaylee, to which, he couldn't.
Kennedy could hear people arriving, she knew who was who by their yelps of excitement and their voices as they carried up the staircase. She was sitting on her chair, flicking through pictures on Facebook, trying to figure out who her friends had brought. After she was sure that most, if not all, of them were in the room, she stood slowly. Her stomach rollicked around nervously, like first day of school butterflies, as she headed down the staircases. Every year, even though she'd seen everyone the day before, on her drive into school, she would be a nervous wreck. What if they had changed? What if she had changed and they didn't like her anymore? The same types of questions raced through her mind as her slender frame turned into the room.
Her unease wouldn't be easily noticed through the wide, exhilarated smile that warmed her entire face. She didn't yelp, or scream out with excitement, instead, she watched them curiously, her head tilting slightly to the right. Kennedy moved toward the girls slowly, breathless with excitement and nerves. Her gold eyes flickered over each of them as she hugged them, noticing even the slightest difference. She felt her lips waver slightly at the sight of Shawnie, but she reminded herself that there would be time to talk about it later. She ended between Sabine and Emily, her long arms easily winding through there's until she noticed Grant, sitting on the couch.
Squeezing her friend's arms in reassurance that she'd be right back, she crossed the room to his standing figure and hugged him tightly. "I missed you! It feels likes it's been forever since I've seen you," she said sadly, her expressive eyes a mixture of playfulness and seriousness.
"It's only been a week," he reminded her, squeezing her close once again. They'd lived across the hall from one another so it was true, a week had felt like an eternity. And he had forgotten how stunning she could be when she walked in without any warning.
"A week too long! Go mingle with the boys, you'll get to meet everyone as soon as it gets a little calmer. I don't want it to be overwhelming." Kennedy glided away from him, back to the small group of girls who were excitedly chatting about their years. She hooked arms with Emily and Sabine again, her body comfortably wedged between them. "How was the flight?" she asked them, her warm voice commanding attention and answers.
-----
Grant watched the different people come in with interest. He smiled friendlily at everyone, though he didn't make a move to introduce himself. That would be Kennedy's favorite part of the day. He was watching the groups with interest, his pale eyes sharp, picking out different friendships. As soon as Kennedy stepped into the room, he felt his breath catch. He didn't like her, but she still could knock his breath out with her looks. Of course, all her friends were gorgeous, it was somewhat absurd.
As she made her way toward him, he stood instantly, wrapping her frame into his warmly, breathing in her fresh vanilla smell. Nothing had changed. There was no spark of attraction as he held her close, no flirting in their conversation. And he was glad. It was nice to have a girl that was simply a friend.
Abiding to her wishes, he headed towards the guys, who had all seemed to congregate on one end of the room. They all seemed amused by the girls, but Grant couldn't help but grow a little tired of them. Couldn't they just get the day rolling? They had the whole summer for small talk and catching up. It didn't have to happen in one go. But, he conceded to the social norm and feigned interest in watching them, his back resting carelessly against the wall.
OOC: Even though Commander hasn't posted for Tristan yet, I'm gunna go ahead and post for Shawnie so the poor girl doesn't have to stand around while all her best friends that she hasn't seen in ages are in the room. haha.
BIC: Shawnie's chocolate eyes looked around the room at all her friends. Most were already there, some had yet to arrive. She really did miss all of them, even though she wasn't always the most enthusiastic one out of the bunch. There was something about that group of girls that made her feel safe and secure, like nothing, or nobody, could ever hurt her again. She couldn't help but notice all the staring eyes. The makeup must have worn off if those were the look she was getting. Darn. So much for keeping that one a secret, n that she thought it would stay a secret long. The girls had a way of making Shawnie talk no matter how much she didn't want to. Maybe she could make something up, at least short-term just so they could get all their squeels and giggles out before she got them all worried.
Shawnie glanced up at the guy that pointed out her already obvious bruised eye. She simply grinned at him and said, "Thanks." What could she do about it now anyway?
The one thing that caught Shawnie's attention was when Kaylee walked in the room and gave her one hug, then another. She saw the hint of worry in her eyes, but Shawnie acted as though everything was fine. Which it was. Everything was fine. Or at least, it was going to be. "Kaylee!" She ran after her friend. "I haven't seen you in how long and all I get is an extra hug?!" She embraced her friend once again, even tighter this time. If there was one person she was going to confide in, it was Kaylee.
Lyndsey Rawlins
18 Years old
Montana State
Colter Redman
20
Montana State
Lyndsey sat on the plane next to Colter. Both had been close friends since Elementary school. "Colter.. I'm putting ear phones in, and knocking myself out with sleeping pills. If the plane goes down, don't wake me" she said, putting in one ear phone. Lyndsey had a big fear of heights, and being in airplanes was her biggest fear, along with the heights. Colter laughed. "alright.. i'll just pull your ear phones out" he said. Lyndsey smacked his leg. "shut up" she said, then put her second ear phone into her ear, listening to her favorite country song. Colter shook his head while laughing softly, then grabbed the local paper and began to read it. This was going to be a long flight for both of them. Both went to the same elementary school, middle school and all the way through college. They swore they would never date, as it would end with a break-up. They wore friendship rings on there right middle fingers, each had their own Initials detailed into the ring.
The dreaded 16 hour flight had ended for both of them. entering the terminal and finding their luggage, Lyndsey sighed. "I thought that was never going to end" Lyndsey stated, quietly, pulling her luggage off. Colter grabbed his dark green bag, while Lyndsey rolled her lime green bag behind her towards a vehicle that waited for them both. Colter climbed in, followed by Lyndsey. "you know..I'm gonna make this the best trip..Ever.. Got it. and if I ruin it, please poke or pinch me to remind me" she added, buckling up.
As the thirty minute drive ended, Lyndsey leaned forwards. "Colten, look!" she said, getting out. Colten climbed out. "wow, were staying...here?" he asked, pointing. Lyndsey laughed. "Yea, can you believe it?" she said, grabbing her bag and headed towards the blue house. Lyndsey had changed a lot over the years out of high School. She had dyed her hair to a light brown, from it's original blonde color, then let it grow out to the middle of her back, her natural waves making it look wonderful. She stood a mere 5'1", being a premature baby back in her days. She was slim, with an oval face, and bright blue eyes. Colter had a buzzed haircut, blonde hair and green eyes, built tough and standing around 6'3". Lyndsey entered the house. "Lyndsey is in the house, who's around?" she asked with a slight laugh, bag hitting the step into the house. Colter laughed. "Lyndsey, careful there, you don't need to be ruining anything in this place.. you won't get back home alive" he added.
Kaylee heard Shawnie again and spun around, hugging her again. "You have stories to tell me missy..I need to know the details on the kid i'm murdering" she whispered in her ear as she hugged her. All the girls had poured into the room by now, she noticed Lyndsey's usual attention grasping entrance and laughed as she drug Shawnie over to the door with her. She wrapped her arms around Lyndseys neck and hugged her tightly "ah i've missed the enthusiastic Lyndsey" she said as she let her go and took a couple steps back.
Kaylee had completly forgot she brought Logan, or that guys were even in the house right now. Her over the top excitement was starting to fade into a warming sensation as she looked around and was flooded with memories as she saw all her girls. "We all have sooo much catching up to do" she laughed before she looked to the familier face next to Lyndsey. "Hey Colter..you two dating yet?" she teased, knowing that they never would risk it on their own, even though everyone knew they were perfect for each other.
At the sight of the Shawnie and her less than concealed bruise, Emily grinned. "You know you're supposed to duck when a ball gets thrown at you, right?" She joked when it was her turn to give the girl a hug. Unlike the others, Emily didn't assume the worst. In her entirely mind it was much more likely that her friend had acquired the bruise while playing lacrosse or some other sport. The thought that someone might intentionally strike someone else, especially sweet Shawnie, never crossed Em's naive mind.
For a moment, she glanced towards the boys. She recognized most of them from her friends' Facebook pages, and she had heard stories about them. But Emily had been hoping that they would be less attractive in person. Though at least around the other girls she wouldn't have to worry about impressing the guys at all. Her friends were all so stunning and confident that she was sure none of the guys would pay any attention to her. Which was good for Em because at least this way she could relax instead of stressing about saying the wrong thing.
When Kennedy brought up the flight, Emily groaned, "Too long!" She was a nervous flier. Emily liked science. She understood the physics of flying and knew how unlikely a plane was to crash. But no matter how safe it seemed on paper, being stuck in a small metal compartment thousands of feet in the air just seemed like a recipe for disaster. "But we made it!" She added brightly, squeezing her Kennedy's arm in excitement. As much as she hated flying, Emily would have piloted a plane around the world or taken a space ship into space if that was what it took to be able to see her friends all at once.
--
Brett sat back and watched the girls. He couldn't believe how different they were from his plain and quiet teammate. He wasn't entirely sure what he had been expecting them to be like. Maybe milder, less like the party girls they appeared to be at first glance, perhaps less picture perfect. He also hadn't been expecting to see this many guys and he wondered, in a moment of panic, whether this was supposed to be some kind of couples thing. And, for the first time Brett wondered what Emily had told the others about him. If she thought he was going to play along and pretend that they were dating, she was in for a major surprise. But that didn't really seem like her. She was shy, not crazy. And innocent, not calculating and manipulative.
"So how did you guys get dragged along on this thing?" Brett asked, turning to the other guys curiously. He wondered if they had all gone to high school with the girls or all the invitations had had a "plus one," that the girls had used for various new friends from their respective colleges. He hoped that Emily wasn't the only one who wasn't in a relationship. And not just because it would keep things from getting too awkward either.
Leo looked over when he heard one of the guys speak. He turned, his attention finnaly being pulled from tracking Storm across the room.
"Beach, hot chicks, huge house, nice weather. Not seeing any negatives there" He laughed. "Seriously, though, the bouncy redhead who can't stand still is my best friend and thought it would be a good idea to bring me into an estrogen storm"
He'd actually spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly why it was that he'd been dragged along. The conclusion he'd come to? Never try to figure out Storm, you'd just go crazy. On the other hand, mayve you'd have to be crazy to actually understand her motives.
"What about you?" He asked. "I was pretty relieved when I realized I asn't the only guy going to be here"
____________________
Storm bounced over to the door to hug Lyndsey. She wasn't sure who she'd seen, hugged, or spoken to already, her mind, like the room, was in complete chaos from all the excitement. The guys were completely out of her mind until she tripped on a suitcase and landed flat on her butt in the middle of the group of men.
"Hi!" She said brightly, looking up at them. " I'm storm"
Chase couldn't help but chuckle a little at a guy who introduced himself as Leo's comment. "Chase," he said before responding, "and between that and the constant excitment. If I bounced around like that all day I'd be beat." He joked around a little before hearing another one of the guys ask how they'd received an invite to the incredible beach "house". "The one without shoes is my best friend. Her original invite dumped her so I'm the back up plan," he said with a smile. He joked around about being a back up and made it seem like he was hurt that he was her second choice, but Chase didn't mind at all. In fact, he was just pleased to be at the beach and with a bunch of people for a few weeks.
Peyton's brown curls seemed to fly everwhere as she attacked each of her friends individually. She took note of Shawnie's bruised eye, but knew this wasn't the time for her, or any of the girls, to say anything. Something seemed a little off about her, but Peyton couldn't quite tell what it was. She had a talent for reading people, but wasn't always the best at getting the information out of people.
Groaning at the mention of the flight, she joined in the conversation. "I agree with Emily, wayyy too long," she dragged out her words. She didn't mind flying, but the anticipation of being with her best friends again had made the trip there feel like forever. "But we're all finally here! Kennedy," she turned her attention to the owner of the house, "when do we get a tour of this place?!"
Before she got an answer, a loud thud caught her attention. Whipping around, Peyton saw Storm on the floor next to the pile of luggage. Laughter escaped from her as she watched her friend climb to her feet, gracefully introducing herself to the guys who had slowly made their way to each other and were attempting to communicate. She caught Chase's eye and smiled, her eyes lighting up as she did.
Witnessing Peyton laughing and enjoying herself made Chase relieved. The girl had been so down the past few days and it was nice to hear her contagious giggle echo through the large house. People were still slowly arriving, and he was anxious to get through the awkward introductions and tours and have the vacation begin.
The timid, insecure person that Shawnie came to be over the last six months while dating Tristan slowly began to fade away as she greeted all her friends. "Why do you people always assume the worst? How do you know someone punched me? You know I'm active in a lot of sports with a ball, and you know how slow my reaction time can be," she said to Kaylee, hopefully loud enough so everyone else could hear so she wouldn't have to explain herself any time soon. Shawnie was athletic, but she was still blonde. Whereas most people would duck when they saw a ball flying a their face, Shawnie would stand there a let it happen. She thanked Emily in her head for not automatically assuming the worst. "Yeah, the hardest thing about lacrosse? The ball." She laughed at her own joke. Hopefully the rest of the girls bought it as well as Emily did.
Shawnie didn't protest as Kaylee took her by the arm and dragged her to the overly enthusiastic Lyndsey. When kaylee stepped out of the way, Shawnie gave her a quick hug, a smile, and an "I've missed you!" The words that she was probably going to be repeating for the rest of the day, or maybe even through next week.
When Shawnie finally pried herself away from Kaylee and Lyndsey, she made her way over to where Sabine, Emily, and Kennedy were standing and, once again, gave them each a hug, a smile, and an "I've missed you!"
"So I think we need to have a party tonight. In the dark, on the beach, with loud music, and food and..." She glanced over to the group of guys. "Boys." Shawnie was always a flirt. She wasn't exactly the most attractive out of the group of girls, standing only at 4'10" with pale skin and a chunky figure from all the sports she played, but she would flirt with any guy that looked in her general direction. Even though she wasn't feeling that way right now, she was done with boys for a while. But she had to put her flirty face on for the sake of keeping Tristan a secret just a little bit longer. The girls were sure to notice if she wasn't going boy-crazy like she usually was.
OOC: So I think Ashtyn and Leila got on the wrong plane and ended up in Peru. haha j/k. but we might want to slow down and give Owl a chance to catch up.
Lyndsey saw Kaylee. "oh, Kaylee!" she said, hugging her. "I missed you so much.. we do have alot of catching up to do" she stated, nodding. "Shawnie, girl..hows life?" she asked, hugging her back. Colter looked from Lyndsey, to Kaylee. He laughed. ""nope, not yet anyway" he said. Lyndsey spun around and smacked his chest. "Bring it up, one more time, Kaylee. We made a vow to not date." she said. Colter coughed. "ohpp, owwhooww, Lyndsey" he said, pinching her arm behind her elbow. "Oww" she said. Then remembered what it was for. Having a fun trip. "Right, right. Thanks." she said. Colter looked back to Kaylee. "no, were not dating, and by the looks of it, never will" he said. He did like Lyndsey, and as everyone was saying, they were perfect for each other. IT was more Lyndseys' saying for the two not to date, than Colters.
Lyndsey was afraid to date. She never wanted to date, especially after her last boyfriend in High School who was abusive. She felt she would be used again with any other guy, whether they were nice or not. She sighed, looking past her friends. "soo.. who else is here? And a night party would be awesome, haven't had one in a while" she said. "Is Shiloh here yet?" she asked, curious.
[[i'm FFing my character just because the flight or whatever is pointless, haha..]]
Angela looked around anxiously for Sean. She knew his flight had come in a bit before hers did, and he was most likely bored out of his mind waiting for her somewhere. Unwilling to drop one of her bags to pull out her phone, she wandered around looking everywhere, and it wasn't until she decided to walk outside that she saw him on one of the benches.
"I should have known.." She smiled as she let her bags fall to the ground and threw her arms around his neck, planting a quick kiss on his cheek in greeting. "It feels kind of like forever since I saw you.."
"It was two weeks you goose.. but I missed you too," he hugged her warmly in return. "I suppose you're ready to head to the house?" his blue eyes sparkled with his smile as he looked her over quickly, making sure nothing had happened to her in the quick time they were gone. He had always been that way with her - protective and unwilling to trust her around anyone else. She had become his best friend, and he wasn't sure what he would do without her around.
"Heck yes!" Angela skipped eagerly to the car. The driver had already put most of their bags in, and Sean helped him with the last couple before they headed off. They filled the short drive with small talk about readjusting to life back at home mostly, but Angela had a hard time focusing on any of it. She was beyond excited to finally be together with her girls again.
Her petite body was out of the car before the driver had a chance to stop fully, and she bounded toward the group of her best friends, squealing uncontrollably. She was excitable enough as it was already, and this was extreme excitement.
"HIII EVERYONE!! Kaylee, Lindsey, Peyton.." She began hugging each and every one of them, totally forgetting about Sean for the time being.
--
Sean merely laughed at her excitement as she leaped out of the car, expecting this reaction from her. Deciding it wasn't much use to follow her to the group, as she was much too happy to even think about introducing him, he instead brought the bags inside before finally going down and standing somewhat to the side. He was good with people once he was introduced, but walking up to a group of total strangers without some immediate form of conversation was not in his comfort zone, so he decided to wait until one of the guys came up to him, or Angela decided to introduce him.
ooc: my sincerest apologies guys, i got slammed with double shifts at work and i had to train two new people this weekend and i didn't know until saturday morning or i would've let you know. that's a good thing though because with the two new people, i won't be called in at all for the next month or so at the least so i'll have plenty of time to devote to this.
anyway, i just got home from working all weekend, it's two in the morning here, and i can barely formulate normal sentences, but i will be posting normally tomorrow and what not. again, i'm super sorry.
Leo sighed when Storm made her less than graceful appearance by landing at his feet. Offering his hand to help her up, he couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head.
"How about you try a new idea, Storm? Like, survive all the way through the first day?" He suggested jokingly while putting his arm around her shoulders.
Along with having no sense of direction, Storm was also clumbsy, as she had just proven. Usually Leo could keep her out of trouble, but she had the typical redhead temper and spunk. Luckily, he was a pretty good talker and could normally talk them both out of whatever situation the over exuberant girl managed to get them into. And she managed to get them into a lot of less than desirable situations.
He watched the room fill with people, his bright, green eyes taking in faces of people, trying to match them to the names Storm had been throwing around ever since she'd asked him to come. He was usually pretty good at matching names and faces, but there was so much confusion, he gave up after only a few minute. Soon enough, he was sure, there would be some sort of introductions. He watched the tiny girl with the blackened eye carefully. Something was off about the stories she spun and the way that her excitement seemed...different. But who was he to judge? It was probably true, he was just over analyzing everything, as usual.
Looking up when one of the other guys introduced himself as Chase, then explained that he'd been second choice, Leo grinned.
"Ouch" he commented with a grin.
____________________________
Storm took a quick, joking bow once she got back to her feet, laughing. "Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all month" She joked. Her motto in life was if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
She made a face at Leo when he commented on surviving the first day. "It was the darn pile of luggage" she commented. "It's out to get me"
She looked around, trying to see who all was here. Running through a list in her head, it looked like almost everyone, if not everyone, was here. She didn't see Shiloh anywhere, she'd lost sight of her in all the commotion. All well, she'd find her soon enough.
When she spotted a guy standing off by himself, she ducked under Leo's arm and made her way over to him. She didn't like people looking lonely and lost. It didn't seem fair to her, not when the rest of them were having a great time already.
"Hi" She smiled, holding out her hand. "I'm Storm." She greeted him with a smile, denim blue eyes looking up at him. She'd always been the type to try and include everyone in everything.
Feeling the impact of Storms body against hers, she grinned. Wrapping her arms around her friend ?STORM!? she laughed as they almost went tumbling to the ground ?Lady, we?re gunna kill each other one of these days!? Regaining her balance she stepped back from her friend ?I?ve been amazing! And no I haven?t met Leo? and Colin is around here somewhere?. Remember him from spring break?? she laughed
?Is that miss Lyndsey!?? Shiloh scanned the room looking for the booming voice and the petite obnoxious but amazing woman attached to that voice. Spotting Lyndsey she headed straight for her. The commotion in this room was bound to give everyone and anyone a headache. It was pure and utter chaos. Bags everywhere, girls giggling and squealing, guys with there lost and confused. Dodging bags and people, Shiloh finally made it safely to Lyndsey bumping her lightly as she stood next to her ?Hiya woman!? she grinned hugging her friend.
She hadn't seen Sabine, Peyton, Emilie, Kennedy, Shawnie, Kaylee, Leila.. Wow that was a long list of people... She knew they were around here, or at least she hoped they'd all been able to come. It wouldn't be the same if all the girls weren't here.
Colin tried to keep tabs on Shiloh but she moved so quickly through the room, he?d almost lost hope. Finding a spot near Leo, Chase, and Colter then spotted a new entry. He figured it might not be so bad to go over and introduce himself. ?I?m here for who knows how long? mine as well make a friend or two? he muttered silently to himself, shrugged and walked over to Sean ?Its amazing how we have all kept our sanity being around these girls? he laughed shaking his head ?By the way I?m Colin?
He watched on in silence as he scanned over the girls. It was easy to tell who had the tighter bonds by who they greeted first and with the degree of excitement. He knew they were all close but there was still levels of closeness. At least in his eyes.
Kaylee hadn't stopped smiling since 8am that morning. "Oh Shawnie, i don't mean to jump to conclusions, i'm just sayin' you're like an open book" she stated before dropping the subject for now and looking to the cluster of girls. When she saw Shiloh run over she hugged her tightly after she regained balance and let go of Lyndsey. "way to be like the last to get here Ang" Kaylee teased. "I'm kinda wondering where Leila is though" she said as she looked through the room. All the guys had huddled in their little corner while the girls were in another.
Kaylee looked at each of the girls, they had changed so much in apperence but their personalitys were still the exact same as when they all met. She still remembered the ups and downs of their friendships, the popcorn fights on their regular movie nights and the tubs of ice cream they would all consume if one of them had a broken heart. Normally Kaylee was never sentimental but she felt very warm and fuzzy right now. She looked over to make sure Logan was behaving and not being a loner, when she saw he was laughing and talking with the guys she smiled before looking back to her girls.
---
Logan laughed "I pretty much came for the ocean, it sucks living in the hick province of Alberta when you love to surf" he joked "but its one of the best universitys in Canada" he added. "I'm Logan by the way, and I came with the screaming brunette over there" he said as he nodded over to Kaylee who was yelling out names before she hugged someone.
He scratched his neck as he listened to the rest of the guys talk and point out who they were with. Logan was a people person, he loved hanging out with a group of people and making friends. He was generally the one wooping and hollering and cracking jokes about everything. He was rarely serious but he could be if he had to be.
Leo laughed at Logan's comment. How true it was.
"I hear ya, man. We're up in Northern Ontario. When I first went up there, I thought at least I'd be able to do some snowboarding in winter, but there aren't even any semi-decent hills. They even call it the land of small hills." He chuckled to himself. "It took a while to get used to hearing every sentance end in 'Eh?'." In truth, he still cringed inside a bit everytime he heard the term. Something about it just bugged him.
He glanced up quickly to see where Storm had gotten. Seeing her talking to a guy off by himself, he made a face. Leave it to Storm, he thought.
"Hey, any of you heard of the Two Step Snow Snake?" He asked, eyes leaving Storm for a moment. She probably wouldn't appreciate the supervision very much.
_________________
Storm looked up when another guy walked over. She was pretty sure it was Shiloh's friend, they'd met during spring break. But what was his name....? She couldn't remember for the life of her.
"Hi, I'm Storm, remember me? I'm pretty sure Shiloh introduced us during spring break" She smiled. She really disliked being short, having to literally look up at everyone got annoying. "As for your sanity, you don't have a hope in heck of hanging on to it" She laughed, in an even better mood than she usually was.
She caught sight of Leo watching her and stuck out her tongue, then turned her attention to the two guys standing near by. She'd talk to anyone, guy or girl, whether she knew them or not.
OCC: SORRY!!! I was busy the past few days!!! My b! Owl, Nova will meet your guy there. My post is horribly put together, but I just want to be caught up for the most part!
***
Nova walked up the large mansion with a huge grin on her face. She quickly walked up to the house and sighed as the ocean breeze hit her face. She remembered all the memories here talking about guys, making light jokes about each other, tanning and the list goes on and on. She was a little disappointed to that she had to leave without her friend but another friend from OSU was there to keep her company on the flight. Tristan was in 2 of her classes and she was surprised when Tristan first told her about him and Shawnie dating, then he told her about the fight. The first thing she did was slap him across the face which shocked him for a few minutes outside the house.
"Ow! Well that wasn't pleasant!" Tristan growled and Nova just glared at him harshly.
"You better be thankful that's all your getting from me. Everyone else is going to beat you senseless." Nova growled out and clutched her bags harder.
"I didn't mean too! It was an accident. It's just that I have such a terrible temper and she doesn't care enough to realize that I'm little touchy." Tristan tried to explain and Nova just rolled her eyes.
"Am I happy with you? No. Is anyone inside there going to be happy with you? No. So you better get yourself under control before you walk in there. But I'll try to keep the dogs at bay." Nova said and Tristan hung his head like a scolded dog.
"The party has arrived!!!" Nova sang/yelled as she burst into the room, her black hair bouncing into her green eyes. "Oh I've missed you all and look what I scrapped off the bottom of my shoe." Nova said with a slight smile and Tristan slowly walked into the room behind her. His black hair hung into his piercing blues eyes the immediately landed on Shawnie's eye. "Oh I am not going to make it out of this one alive." He said so that only Nova and those closest to him could hear.
Nova's toned body jumped onto a few friends and she squealed with a giggling following it. Nova was a total flirt and her jaw practically dropped at the selection of VERY attractive guys that she was in the house with for the next few weeks. "Well hello handsomes. I require hugs from all the girls and names of all the guys!" Nova was back into flirt mode.
Shawnie laughed as Nova dramatically entered the room. She ran over to her friend and greeted her with a hug. "You're LATE!" She exclaimed as she tightly embraced her friend. "How dare you be late! We've all been waiting on you." A smile spread across her face as she realized all the girls were finally there. There sure were a lot of them. But wait, where was...? "Leila..." she whispered to herself. Shawnie pulled her phone out of her back pocket and shot Leila a quick text.
Everyone's here except you. Are you okay? Blonde eyebrows knitted together in worry about her friend.
Shawnie was far from prepared for who she was about to see next. She grabbed Nova's arm and used her as a human shield to protect her from Tristan. "What on God's green earth is HE doing here?" she whispered, mostly to herself but to Nova also. "I thought for sure I'd gotten rid of him for good!" Shawnie was absolutely terrified of him. But she at least had to pretend she wasn't for the time being. Shawnie subconsciously dug ner nails into Nova's arm as she slowly walked up to Tristan, pretending not be scared pantsless.
"What? You came back to have another smackdown? Hasn't anyone told you not to hit a girl?" Shawnie was careful to keep her voice down. She couldn't help but visibly shake looking up at him like she was. Being the shortest out of all the girls, she had a really hard time trying to sound intimidating staring right up at him knowing it would only take one swipe of his hand to knock her out cold.
Tristan bowed his head in shame and met Shawnie's scared ones. His only thought was to walk out that door and beat the crap out of himself for what he had done to her. She was a shell of her former self and he couldn't let that happen so he decided to man up. "I'm so sorry." He mumbled to her and then looked up, no tears in his eyes but a determined look. "Look I don't know if she had told you yet or not, but it's time for me to man up. It took a very hard slap, that's bruising by the way Nova," He said and she stuck her tongue out. A slight grimace on her face from the tight pressure of Shawnie's nails. "I gave her that black eye and every other shy problem she has now. I take full responsibility for it and I hope to have become a changed person from it. I leave it up to you, Shawnie, if everyone wants to kick me out that's fine and I don't blame you. But if she is willing to let me stay, not as a couple or even a friend, but as an acquaintance then I want to show her that I have changed." Tristan told the whole room that stared back at him.
"I'm so sorry." He said to Shawnie and very slowly reach his hand out to slightly graze herself, not surprised when she flinched at the contact.
***
"I know what happened." Nova said to Shawnie before Tristan began to his speech. "I left a large bruise on his face that should match yours by tomorrow." Nova stopped and looked up at Tristan during his talk and tried to ignore the biting nails of Shawnie. Hopefully they can work this out or it was going to be a very awkward month.
Shawnie couldn't stop shaking. She about threw up right then and there in front of everyone. How embarrassing would that have been? While he was begging forgivness, she'd never seen him so genuine before in the past six months while they were dating. But she just couldn't get over it. How did she really know he meant it? How did she know it wasn't all an act? Or maybe he meant it now, but the next time she made one little mistake, or said one seemingly meaningless comment, he got out of control again? Just the fact that she couldn't stop shaking and flinched as soon as his hand came up to gently meet her face was enough to tell her it wasn't right.
"Get your hands off of me," Shawnie began. "I don't want anything to do with you, ever again. I'd rather live out on the streets then be stuck living in the same house as you! Do you know what the last six months of my life have been like? Torture. I never know what you're going to do next. One minute, you're the sweet guy I fell in love with and then the next minute you're an uncontrollable monster. No. I won't do it." She stopped when she noticed how loud her voice was getting. Her nails were practically drawing blood from Nora's arm by that point, so she released her friend.
Shawnie loved Tristan. She really did, and they both knew that. But enough was enough and she couldn't handle it any more. If he was going to win her back, it would be a long, hard process for him. She ran into the other room and let loose the sobs that have been threatening to overtake her since Tristan stepped in the door. She really didn't want to see him again. This was just going to make it ten times harder to keep from crawling back to him.
"Gah I'm sorry! You know how planes are, geesh. Trust me, I got here as fast as I could!" Angela wasn't sure if it was possible, but she felt her smile grew wider as she looked around the group at all of her best friends. Seeing them all again for the first time in months brought back an onslaught of memories, the good and bad alike. It washed away any bad thoughts she had about slowly losing their friendship -- the distance hadn't affected them at all. They were still best friends and that was all that mattered.
She laughed at Nova's entrance, but her laugh quickly silenced as she noticed the tension that immediately fell over the room when Shawnie eyed Tristan. And for the first time since she'd walked in the room, she noticed Shawnie's sad attempt to cover up the black eye. She wasn't sure what exactly had gone down between them; last she had heard from Shawnie, the two were very in love with each other, but from the looks of it, Tristan was the last person Shawnie wanted to see and most likely the cause of her black eye. She wasn't about to ask though; that was how she was. If someone wanted to tell her their problem, she would listen but until they were ready, she never pried. This looked serious though, and Angela was worried.
ooc: General, I'm assuming Storm is talking to Sean? lol
BIC:
Sean was content with watching the scene from a distance. It made him happy to see Angela laughing and smiling so much, seemingly perfectly content. He glanced around at each of the other girls, trying to figure out which was which from what Angela had shown him from facebook pictures. It was much harder than he thought it would be, but he figured in a couple days he would know everyone pretty well. They would all be living in the same house.
His observations were interrupted by one of the girls suddenly popping into his line of vision. Storm.. one of the more talkative in the group. According to Angela.. He smiled as he held his hand out in greeting.
"hey! I'm Sean. Angela's.. friend" He smiled down at the other girl, trying to piece what Angela had told him about her in his mind. It was a matter of moments before he gave up, and decided to talk to her like he hadn't been told anything. He was about to say something when Tristan's entrance cut off their conversation. Confused, he looked to Storm. "..What's the deal with them?"
ooc: Yeah, sorry, probably should have made that more clear.
Storm smiled when he introduced himself. He seemed nice. Although, she couldn't see Angela bringing anyone who wasn't nice. She shook the hand he offered.
"Hi, Sean, nice to meet you. Excited?" She asked, her eyes sparkling. She was almost bouncing in place, but she had calmed down a bit from when she first got there.
Her train of thought was interrupted by Shawnie's raised voice. She looked from the arguing couple, back to Sean, then back again. "I have no idea, but it doesn't look good. Last I heard, they were totally in love and living together" She explained, giving him the same small amount of details she had.
She considered going after Shawnie, wondering if the girl would rather be alone. She shot a pained look after her, then across the room at Nova. She'd never been very great at comforting people. She was afraid that going after her would just make it worse.
An island breeze drifted through the open windows of the taxi cab as it crept down the isolated island road, ruffling Leila's hair where it lay across her face. Her eyelids fluttered open and she yawned, stretching luxuriously, then letting her head drop back to where it had been resting on Ashtyn's shoulder. Leila had fallen asleep after the taxi driver finally pulled over and asked for directions to the house, and upon fully realizing this, she sat up and looked out the window, exclaiming, "Ashtyn, we're almost there! You shouldn't have let me sleep that long. It's so gorgeous, we're so close to the ocean. I know you can hear it, the waves are so loud...everything's so green here, you wouldn't believe it...!" She babbled on, describing the scenery outside in the utmost detail so Ashtyn could 'see' for himself.
Eventually, the taxi pulled off the road in front of the house, and Leila clambered out of the taxi, immediately pulling Ashtyn out of the car and demanded that he take his socks and shoes off. "No, seriously Ashtyn, the sand feels so good, I'll carry your shoes, just take them off!" Leila attempted to encourage him as she paid the taxi driver, tipping him handsomely purely because she was Leila and she wanted to help people, however misguided her helping may be.
"Isn't the sand fabulous?" Leila asked, her small smile lighting up her face as she dragged their bags out of the taxi's way. She put her hand on Ashtyn's arm and looked up at him, waiting for him to give her the go ahead that said he was comfortable and ready to meet everyone.
OOC: Sorry for just kind of taking control and dragging Ashtyn along. I thought it might be best to get them to the house. :P And I wanted to get it done as fast as possible, so please excuse the ultimate crap that is this post.
Lyndsey looked toShiloh. "Shilooh!" she said, hugging her. How's it been?" she asked, then looked to all the friends and guys who were in the house. "Were gonna have a full house tonight, arent we?" she asked. "I mean, look at the amount of people in here. I am still with this whole partying during night thing" she stated. Lyndsey only attended a few parties, now really wanting to get drunk herself, but with all her friends, time to catch up, she might catch a beer or two. Colter looked to Lyndsey, standing a few inches behind her, then looked to shiloh. "how is life treating you, Shiloh?" he asked her. Lyndsey elbowed his stomach, where he grabbed his stomach. "owhoww, lyndsey" he said. Colter was a flirt, and everyone knew that, but he really wanted to date Lyndsey.
