Wawona, Bridalveil & Tuolumne (Yosemite) Horse Camping & Trail Rides In 2014

Recommended Posts

We were able to horse camp and trail ride for a week in Wawona, a week in Bridalveil and two weeks in Tuolumne this year. Definitely a beautiful place and worth the drive to visit. We will definitely go back next year.

Marvelous photos! Thanks for posting them. I especially like the wildflowers in Yosemite. Hey! Wait a minute! How'd that burger get in the wilderness?!

Thank you for sharing your trail ride!

Those are some of my favorite areas within Yosemite.

Friends of mine worked at the Wawona and Ahwahnee during the summer for many years and had lots of stories about mishaps involving rangers, people, smart bears and nuisance bear traps. :thud:

It's a good thing that you went to Yosemite before the Bridge Fire filled the air with smoke.

With all the wild fires burning here in the Sierras, trail riding has been put on hold.

The King Fire alone, has burnt up huge section of trails and some camp grounds here in El Dorado county.

We arrived after the El Portal Fire, we were there when the Junction fire broke out and left before the Bridge fire started. Too many fires!
