4H demonstration ideas

Recommended Posts

Okay. So, at the next 4H meeting, I have to give my demonstration, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a topic. It is definitely going to be about horses, but how to pick a hoof, types of hay, bits, and how to wrap a poultice are all taken. Most of the other members are around 8 - 11 years old, so I would like to do something they could understand and do! Any suggestions?

Thanks for any ideas!

I've done 2 already. The first one was on Strangles since our barn went through it 2 years ago. This is a very good subject to hit and let people know about. There is so much you can do to prevent it and our BO didn't. The other was on Mounted Drill Team. I'm doing my next one on Barrel Racing. Just a few ideas. [Wink]

When I was in 4-h (haha Go FFA!) I did mine of conformation, careers involving horses, importance of floating, and how to buy a horse (within this one I went into details of conformation, breed registry's, color, ect)

The possibilities are literally endless
